Conan Exiles Review | Game Review
Conan Exiles Review :- Conan Exiles appears to be the latest MMORPG style game based on survival theme. Funcom has definitely made their way forward in the genre of survival sandbox with games like Age of Conan Unchained, The Park and Conan Exiles. The game is an entry level title and has a lot of issues but keeps you engaged and is fun to play all the same.
The game borrows highly from the Conan books and movies and gives a lot of reference to the source materials. Graphics will keep you spellbound and are soothing to the eyes, thanks to Unreal Engine 4. The world created is very fast and comes to life with the help all the animals that inhabit in this world, making it vicious and fun at the same time. The graphics may seem dry at the start as there is nothing but desert everywhere but as soon as you find an oasis, graphics achieve a whole other level.
Using Unreal Engine as the development tool for the game was a commendable choice by the development team as the detailing required to get such amazing visuals are easily achieved here. Even the world underwater has been given the same level of detailing as the world on land.
The character creation functionality of the game is very detailed. As nudity is an integral aspect of the game, players are given the freedom to adjust even the penis and breast size of their character. Player also have the option to turn off nudity in the game and it has a lot many things than just nudity.
The players also get to see a list of crimes for which they were crucified. A lot of thought has been given in this feature as it helps you understand and consolidate the connection with the character. Moreover, there are some very weird crimes which may get listed as the cause of your crucifixion.
The game can kill you in numerous ways and most of them are not very pleasant. Death by starvation, imps, thirst, crocodiles are the most basic ways in which you can be killed. You will also encounter a massive glowing green wall, go too close and you will die. Even the pause screen of the game gives you an option to kill yourself.
You get an option to Remove Bracelet which is worn by every character which has a green glowing stone engraved in it. If you click on the option Remove Bracelet on the pause screen you receive a warning that removing the bracelet will cause instant death.
The game does not have any tutorial, so you have to learn everything on the run. You will find yourself pressing E near every object to check if you can interact with it or not. You have to keep track of your food and water so that you do not starve and gather important objects like plant fiber every time you come across some.
Food can be found in abundance in the world but you have to run for water the second you spawn so that you do not die of thirst. From crocodiles to mythical creatures like shalebacks, you can hunt anything and use them to quench your hunger.
The game isn’t just building and play. You have to fight other creatures and exiles and take over to survive. You can use your bare fists, as well as the weapons you craft to fight such battles. You need force to rule and the game offers loads of weapons for accomplishing such a task.
The game has an amazing lure to it. It stands out among all other MMORPG games. The world has depth and the aim to fight others, defeat them and rule the world will keep you going in search for more. The only drawback is the glitches and lags which are sure to get solved in the near future. Giving this game 4/5 is my honour.
