DALLAS FUEL TO HOST FANS FOR LIVE OVERWATCH LEAGUE MATCH PLAYED AGAINST HOUSTON OUTLAWS
The Dallas Fuel are bringing live Overwatch League events back to North America. Owned by Dallas-based esports and entertainment company Envy Gaming, the Dallas Fuel will welcome back fans to Esports Stadium Arlington (ESA) on Friday, July 9, for a day of Overwatch League viewing and fanfare.
ESA, which will operate at 50% capacity for the event, will open early to esports fans that want to meet up to watch the day’s other Overwatch League matches on the stadium’s giant LED screens and cap off with the Dallas Fuel players competing live from the stadium’s custom-built stage in the fan-favorite Battle for Texas series against in-state rivals the Houston Outlaws.
The Fuel are 2-1 versus the Outlaws in the 2021 Overwatch League season, having recently beat Houston in the knockout rounds to advance to the June Joust midseason tournament.
Tickets for the Dallas Fuel home event are general admission seating and cost $15. The public sale of tickets, as supplies last, begins Wednesday, June 16, at 11 a.m. CT on DallasFuel.com. All fans in attendance will be asked to wear masks.
Members of EnvyUS, Envy Gaming’s free membership club for esports and gaming fans, will receive exclusive presale access to purchase tickets for 24 hours before general admission tickets go on sale to the public. The EnvyUS presale will launch on Tuesday, June 15. EnvyUS Gold members will also receive a free VIP section upgrade including front section seating and a special swag bag. Fans attending in person can purchase exclusive Dallas Fuel merchandise onsite and experience unique activations and rewards from Favor, Jack in the Box, Jack Link’s and more. Food and drink, including alcohol for guests over 21 years of age, will be available for purchase at ESA. Overwatch-themed cosplay is encouraged, with the Dallas Fuel offering special prizes to fans that participate. Parking at Esports Stadium Arlington costs $5 and is not included in the event ticket price.

We can’t wait to see the energy the crowd brings to the arena when our players take the stage.”
The Dallas Fuel are the first team in North America to host fans at an in-person Overwatch League event in 2021. Only the Dallas Fuel players will be competing from the arena stage at Esports Stadium Arlington; Houston Outlaws players will be patched in remotely.
The Dallas Fuel previously hosted Opening Weekend of the 2020 Overwatch League season at Esports Stadium Arlington and were the first Overwatch League team in history to host a live esports match in a home arena, as more than 4,000 people each day attended the sold-out, two-day Dallas Fuel Homestand Weekend series at Allen Event Center in 2019.
The Dallas Fuel v. Houston Outlaws match will begin at 5 p.m. CT on Friday, July 9, and will be broadcast on YouTube and OverwatchLeague.com. Fans can watch online to earn Overwatch League tokens for in-game rewards.
