Pixel-art anime fantasy JRPG featuring turn-based combats

Due to the support of 1544 backers, independent games developer Jon Bookout raised $100k, 200% of its original goal on Kickstarter, to fund the production and development of Lucid Soul for Steam and itch.io last Saturday.
Lucid Soul is a classic top-down, mature-rated, fantasy JRPG featuring turn-based combats and pixel-art, retro-like, anime visuals. Take on the role of a villain who must discover the secrets of his past in 30+ hours of gameplay.
“We are very proud to have exceeded every expectation about the success of Lucid Soul on Kickstarter and we gratefully appreciate the support of our backers”, says solo developer Jon Bookout. “I am incredibly overwhelmed with pride and look forward to the tasks at hand in the future”.
Lucid Soul is inspired by some of the most important games of its genre, such as Lunar: Silver Star, Eternal Blue, Final Fantasy and Chrono Trigger. The game will be launched in 2022.
