Nexon Group announces details of Nexon Developers Conference 18, one of the largest conferences for game developers in Korea

NEXON Co., Ltd. (3659.TO), a global leader in online games, today announced that its consolidated subsidiary NEXON Korea Corporation (Nexon Korea) will host Nexon Developers Conference 18 (NDC18), one of the largest conferences for game developers in Korea. The conference will take place at Nexon Korea’s offices and local facilities from Tuesday, April 26, to Thursday, April 28, 2018.

Nexon Developers Conference, which was first held in 2007, brings together game developers from around the world to share their game development and operations experience and expertise. The event has been open to the public since 2011 and has become one of the largest conferences for game developers in Korea with around 20,000 participants and 100 sessions.

NDC18 will be the 12th annual conference and will include 105 sessions on wide-ranging topics including game development, programming, visual art, sound production and team management. Various sessions will be conducted by Nexon group, including What!Studio, the developer of Durango: Wild Lands, which recently announced its official launch in Japan in 2018, and Pixelberry Studios, an interactive storytelling game company that became a group member last year. Tencent, which publishes Nexon’s major title Dungeon&Fighter in China, will also hold several sessions, including a post-mortem of their recently launched title Moonlight Blade in Korea.

This year’s conference will also feature Japanese speakers Daisuke Ishiwatari and Hideyuki Ambe from Arc System Works. Kazuyuki Ikumori from Square Enix Visual Works is also slated to speak.

“This year, we are happy to welcome guests with an exciting, wide variety of sessions and events that will contribute to further innovation in the game and IT industry,” NDC Office Manager DoYoung Kwon said. “I appreciate many people’s participation and support to date and will prepare well for all the guests and speakers to be satisfied.”
