Nexon Group Announces Strategic Partnership with Korean Mobile Game Studio Weredsoft
NEXON Co., Ltd. (3659.TO) (“Nexon”), a global leader in online games for PC and mobile, today announced that its consolidated subsidiary, NEXON Korea Corporation (“Nexon Korea”), has entered into a strategic partnership with WEREDSOFT Inc. (“Weredsoft”). Through this partnership, Nexon Group has acquired global publishing rights for Project D (working title), a new mobile game under development by Weredsoft.
Weredsoft is a promising Korean game development studio founded in January 2013. The firm is recognized for its excellent development capabilities and the unique playing style of its successful mobile RPG Three Kingdoms Battle in Korea.
Weredsoft’s new mobile game, Project D, is a side-scrolling 2D mobile action RPG with beautiful graphics based on a fantasy universe, and includes a sense unique to console games.
