Dallas Fuel face in-state rivals Houston Outlaws in season opener on April 16

The 2021 Overwatch League season officially kicks off on Friday, April 16, with a pair of high-powered matches: the Battle for Texas pits newly unretired Jake “Jake” Lyon and the Houston Outlaws against Yeong-Han “Sp9rk1e” Kim and the rebuilt Dallas Fuel team, followed by the defending champion San Francisco Shock taking on former teammate Grant “Moth” Espe and the Los Angeles Gladiators. All Overwatch League matches will be live and on demand on our YouTube channel, on overwatchleague.com, and in the Overwatch League app.

The 2021 schedule is live, with 208 total matches slated for the regular season. Each team is scheduled to play 16 regular-season qualification matches, plus additional contests across the four tournaments. Teams will be divided into two groups based on their location for the season: East and West. The Dallas Fuel compete in the West division. All live broadcasts featuring teams playing in the West will start at 2 p.m. CT. 

Teams are competing for share of a $4.25 million prize pool in 2021.
