Ziggurat Releases Two “Puzzling” New Games for PC in this Month’s Retro First Friday Releases

Put on your thinking caps and get ready to test your tile-matching and code-cracking mettle, as Ziggurat Interactive is releasing two classics of the puzzle genre today via their Retro First Friday program. If you fancy yourself a digital safe-cracker, then you’ll love Revelation, a code-cracking classic from 1991 that has you unlocking safes and scoring loot! Should you prefer more of the beloved matching tiles style of gameplay, Ziggurat has you covered with Zyconix, which twists the traditional “align three blocks of the same color” gameplay formula by giving you only single blocks to work with — as well as exciting power-ups and bonus items.

These two outstanding games are available at a 33% discount on Steam and GOG for the next week!

This month’s Retro First Friday™ launch includes:

  • Revelation: Put your safe-cracking skills to good use as you discover the color combinations needed to unlock bank vaults and access the loot within! Playable alone or with a friend, Revelation challenges you to solve lock puzzles that start off simple, but turn into elaborate contraptions, all to gather as much cash and jewelry as possible within a set time limit. Spend too much time on that one special score and you may find the police hauling you away in handcuffs, so keep an eye out for bonus items to buy you more time! Revelation features 80 unique and challenging levels, so limber up your fingers and get ready to unlock those vaults! [Steam] [GOG]

  • Zyconix: It’s raining colored blocks, and it’s your job to line ’em up, three to a group, and score massive points! In Zyconix, you can grab bricks to line them up, but when you let go, they plummet down the screen, with little chance to change course. To make it even trickier, vertical groupings don’t count for points, only horizontal and diagonal! Four game modes and special power-ups (like bombs, drills, and a Breakout-style ball) spice things up, and there’s even a two-player split-screen mode for challenging your friends!  [Steam] [GOG]

We’d appreciate it if you’d share this news with your readers, and if you would like to speak with Ziggurat to find out more about some of the publisher’s plans for the rest of the year, or about their game library, don’t hesitate to let us know.
