REVIEW : Breakneck City (XBOX Series X)

Developer Renegade Sector’s Breakneck City targets another type of gamer, the retro gamer. The ’90s look and hear straight from the nostalgic era. You can hear the exciting feelings of retro gamers! Unfortunately, it lacks overall quality and lacks any originality in gameplay. Damage your enemies using the environment for unforgettable moments. Defeating many enemies for the first time by swinging from the pole or sliding the pole down is fun and satisfying. Unfortunately, it’s not that positive to say about it, so perhaps the most memorable thing about Breakneck City is its blatantly disappointing.

REVIEW : Breakneck City (XBOX Series X)

This Breakneck City review follows a malicious gangster trying to burn down our favorite video stores, Sydney Flintlock and Justin Jacobs. Breakneck City is an old-school 3D side-scrolling action game focused on environmental interactions. When a vicious gang tries to burn out his favorite video library, Sydney Flintlock and Justin Jacobs come out on the street and blow their heads. Breakneck City is an old-school 3D fighting game that focuses on environmental interactions. With low poly graphics, pixel art textures, and the ability to play in co-op, Breakneck City brings a new generation of 3D side-scrolling action in the style of the late ’90s.

Hit, kick and glide on 6 intolerable levels, including city streets,  dance clubs, and skyscrapers. Undertake gangsters of different types of enemies and tough bosses. Collect weapons to make them more effective in combat and take advantage of the environment. Swing around the streetlight pillars, kick enemies through trash cans and windows and perform devastating diving kicks from above. You have to use your surroundings to your advantage against these challenging enemies!

I don’t know if there’s anything you can imagine in 90’s style brawler music, but it’s a great nostalgic way for Breakneck City. Some classical music and sound effects bring back the best memories of fighting games. It was dangerously close that the game didn’t show anything in the “Favorite” section, so I was happy to enter something here.

Two players can play the level at the same time. It makes the big problem even bigger, making it even less difficult. However, Breakneck City is a great introductory game in this genre, perfect for non-players and young people. I favor this rebellious sector, as developers are always grateful when adding co-ops! There are two playable characters, Sydney and Justin, both fighting in the same way. No skills are required. You can damage street thugs by crushing one of the two attack buttons. You can also use the environment to damage enemies, kick hot steam from pipes and chairs, and hit enemies against walls, as described in the “Memorable Moments” section. Animation is very interesting, so it’s a good implementation. For example, hook your opponent on a hook. However, missed a broader combat system. Sometimes it’s good to pick up a gun, but it relies heavily on pressing the attack button. There is no tactic other than evasive action and pressing a button, even with a boss. Sector!

REVIEW : Breakneck City (XBOX Series X)

Confusing door entrances strangely placed health recovery items, and invisible walls are the three main reasons  I think this is a suspicious level design. You have to confront more than 10 enemies and your boss who can’t see your health recover, but a little later, all you have to do is defeat one enemy and line up two cooked chickens. Is. Did you change the gangster fight at the last minute? I don’t know, but health is often found nowhere when you need it and abundant when you don’t. Level 3 has a special moment, and the doors are strangely placed and hidden, so I’m giving up on quitting the game. This extreme example happens only once, but it’s too many.

Conquer the streets from challenging enemies and tough bosses. That’s the  Breakneck City slogan … in fact, it’s one of the easiest games I’ve played in a few months. However, I don’t think it’s targeting players in retro fighting games. Knowing who has finished the Battletoads, you can come up with something easier than Paw Patrol: Mighty Pups Save Adventure Bay. After a short time, you finished 6 different levels without any reason to play it again. Nothing to collect, unlock, difficult problems, just nothing. Breakneck City is an average-looking game when you first see it, but once you play it, it’s quite satisfying. It’s a game heavily influenced by your Streets of Rage, and it’s a lot like Die Hard Arcade. Yes, hit detection at checkpoints and locations is difficult, but meeting people is fun. Break gas pipes, throw enemies on barricades or hit walls.
