REVIEW : Deleveled (PC)

This one is unique and really out of the park when it comes to the concept of the game goes. Its Deleveled developed by ToasterFuel, Rain Delay Games, and published by The Quantum Astrophysicists Guild, ToasterFuel. The game was launched in June 2020 and it’s available on platforms like Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, Linux, macOS, Macintosh operating systems. It’s a basic puzzle game in which you try to get both the cubes to the desired location while using the concept of momentum. So whenever one block hits the other the other one will jump and in that process, you have to move your cubes to reach h desired location at the end. The game can be difficult at times and can take quite some time to solve a level but there are checkpoints so it doesn’t punish you that much. Though the levels are small and fun so it really won’t bug you if you die and have to restart the level. At first look, you will not find this game any different from any other minimalistic puzzle game but it’s not the case with this game. The game will require a lot of creativity to solve and executing skills.

The game offers a very smooth transition from teaching the players how the game works to ramp up the difficulty of the levels. As the game moves on and you explore different levels the game gets more creative and goes on the wild side, taking its time and freedom in exploring all the new and cool things that can be done with the concept of the game. The game requires a lot of creativity to solve and sometimes a lot of hard work too. This game keeps the players on their toes.

One thing that players might enjoy is chiptune music which is perfectly fitting for the concept of the game. The music is catchy and makes the game even more interesting. But I don’t think the soundtrack deserves any awards, but there are some very solid tunes with enough variety that keeps the game from ever being boring. The visuals are simple, to be sure, but there’s enough subtle flair that makes the game quite beautiful, especially with a variety of the more intricate background designs. Ultimately, I think simplicity appropriately emphasizes what this game is all about which is you against the levels, also the lack of visual distraction quite welcome as puzzles get more difficult and more rewarding. The game doesn’t offer very high-end graphics but this works in the favor of the game. The recommended configurations are 1.2Ghz of processor, 256 Mb of ram, and 100Mb of storage space which is so basic that any random system can run the game easily without any lags in the game. Another thing that blew my mind was how the developers managed to make 120 different levels of this game, a game that is based on such a simple concept yet they managed to make 120 levels and each one is difficult in its unique way. There are 10 different worlds and in each world, the game introduces new mechanics or something that you have to figure out the good thing is that each world is a lot different from the previous one. Also, the game offers some secret levels which are pretty hard, to be honest and fun.

The game does have some issues with it like a lot of times the controls get unresponsive and this just destroys your game experience. Also, you have to go through many screens just to exit the game which doesn’t make sense and is useless. Along with this, many other small issues need to be fixed so that players can enjoy the game as much as possible.

review-deleveled-pcTo sum up its a modern, polished experience with lots of fun things to try and do like finding secret switches and levels, starring stages beating them without dying once or retrying the levels, and for those of you who need a challenge, hidden bonus levels that need some pretty precise plat forming skills! Deleveled could be a blast for those of you who just love puzzle games. The price is a little high but you get the worth out. I would suggest this game.
