REVIEW : Hitchhiker – A Mystery Game (XBOX Series X)

In general, a hitchhiker’s presence is not cheerful. The hapless hitchhiker usually is killed in most instances. Left someplace along a highway in a ditch. In the 1980s The Hitcher, Rutger Hauer starred as a psychopathic assassin who left a trail of bodies on the horror movie and worsened the psychological appearance by hitting on old English roads, before you quickly disappeared when you stopped to collect them. Briefly, strange walking. We have now Hitchhiker – a mystery game for the Xbox, a game that does not get rid of the mystery and the extraordinary element of sticking a thumb on the edge of a road. But you ought to collect it? Or drive down the road directly?

REVIEW : Hitchhiker – A Mystery Game (XBOX Series X)

Hitchhiker is a tale and storytelling game. It’s a game where you won’t find anything helpful in this experience if you despise both of these things. The gaming we are going to do certainly isn’t the game’s major focus.

The story is not as easy as you could assume. You play this hitchhiker and first appear in a car in the deserts of America going down the highway. The driver looks like a farmer, and you’re silent there with a packet of raisins next to him. The talk will begin soon between the two of you and the search will begin to find out who you are and why you are on this adventure.

REVIEW : Hitchhiker – A Mystery Game (XBOX Series X)

The whole of Hitchhiker has five rides, which play like five chapters. And you meet a different person with each ride, travel to another place, and experience a different voyage in a car. What’s great with these trips is that the leading character, like us the player, needs to work out his background through conversation. However, when you find – very early – that you want a person with a close relationship to yourself, things really start to be extremely unusual.

The story is incredibly good and really unexpected. Like you are on winding roads, it seems that you do not know what is genuine or what is fake, before you induce, twist and tell other things within the stories. The influences and games that are most reminiscent of this experience are the ones of the Kentucky Zero Route. It has surely elements of David Lynch and The Twilight Zone with respect to TV and movies.

The banter and personalities are fantastic. Indeed, all around the world, the writing is quite high, gladly providing courageous decisions and is readily the strongest part of the game. However, the finale doesn’t offer you the payoff, but you can play it again and it can be more absorbed.

REVIEW : Hitchhiker – A Mystery Game (XBOX Series X)

Play-sensitivity Hitchhiker will concentrate on seeing you automatically while sitting there and engaging with some elements in the car. You can take some stuff and interact with it, turn it around while you hunt for hints, or try to use it. There are also small puzzles that you can tackle along the route, capture pictures of hidden things or guess riddles you hear on the radio station. These gaming components are not exactly groundbreaking, but are highly distinct and slightly more in the novel than the regular point and click items seen in a standard narrative adventure.

REVIEW : Hitchhiker – A Mystery Game (XBOX Series X)

The graphics provided by Hitchhiker are mitigated, all of which depend on the five various riding routes themselves. However, not all the scenarios are performed in the passenger car seat – a scene is staged at the café and in the trunk. What the hell? Everything comes with a piece of offbeat, unusual music that is difficult to place and recall, yet it works entirely when it’s on and during the whole game. The audio is mostly focused on the performances in voice-over — they are nothing but amazing with a nice sense of performance. But what the game adds excellently is interludes; it tells stories throughout the main tale. Each of these interludes is presented in an artistic method that supports words. One is created by hand in pencil and animated, with another telling by silent images of a view master. These are incredible workpieces, really original and well accomplished.

review-hitchhiker-a-mystery-game-xbox-series-xHitchhiker - A mystery game on Xbox is quite enjoyable, from the beginning to the end. You can take it all within just a few hours, but I would urge that you take it on your own and enjoy it just like episodes of a television series. Hitchhiker may not be a game that can offer you all you desire answers, but it brings you to a fantastic newspaper that focuses on relationships, love, life and death. It is an all-and-nothing story... and it is fantastic.
