REVIEW : Holy Purge (PC)

HOLY PURGE is a three-player co-op horror survival game.

In this online co-op adventure, you play as Holy Priests and must work with each other to stop an evil epidemic from destroying a mediaeval community.

Unravel Witchcraft, combat werewolves, and evade the soul reaper. Investigate an explorable mediaeval town besieged by evil.

REVIEW : Holy Purge (PC)

Gather ritual objects to break a witch’s spell. Use holy crosses, silver, and flaming torches to defend yourself. Overcome an old demonic spirit by working together with your fellow brethren.

It’s adequate for an Indie game at best. The concept is fantastic, but the game is quite monotonous and, to be frank, somewhat dull. A lot of traveling and resource collection slows down the game’s pace significantly. I’m really sure whatever the designer was trying to achieve here.

REVIEW : Holy Purge (PC)

There’s a strange mix of speed and terror that doesn’t work well together. The only adversaries you’ll face are a grim reaper and werewolves. A bit more variation in enemies might spice things up a little more. (Zombies, demons, and so forth.) It would also be wonderful to add some more firearms for the priests, such as holy water, rosaries, and maybe other conventional items such as swords, axes, or firearms.

REVIEW : Holy Purge (PC)

However, I can add that the notion of being a priest who needs to clean a community is extremely appealing. I enjoy how you aren’t taught all you need to accomplish right away. In most contemporary games, you are hand-picked and instructed what you must accomplish. Here, you must ponder for a while and conduct your own study. I haven’t tried multiplayer yet, however I think it’s really important that you can tidy up the village with a group of others.

REVIEW : Holy Purge (PC)

It is currently definitely amusing fun for the money. I’m not sure if it has a strong long-term incentive. But it’s a lot of fun for a night out with mates. I’m hoping that this game is perfectly alright and gets additional support. Again, I enjoy the premise of this game, but it falls way short in many ways.
