Games with interesting stories are always present but the most memorable stories are those which the players create with the help of game’s freedom to do so.

Subset Games’ debut Game Faster Than Light followed the same idea and Intro the Breach is no different. Into The Breach is a classic Turn Based Tactics game, where 8×8 grid is filled with mechs which battle against Vek Threat before they can harm the buildings in the area.

The game is rogue-like with objective of capturing atleast two of four islands which are further split into areas. After capturing the islands, you take on the end game battle.

The game has a pixel art style with brilliant artwork. The soundtrack compliments the art-style very well.

You control the mechs on 8×8 grid in turn-based strategy gameplay. The basic gameplay is to move your mech near the enemy and attack it before it destroys buildings. Attack of enemy is clearly displayed before the end of their turn. The Vek highlight the building they are going to attack, and each building the destroy results in your health bar being depleted. Since you know the attack pattern you start to strategies so that with minimum hits you can conquer the enemy. A single move can be the difference between a crushing defeat or victory and when that move executes beautifully you feel like a genius.

Each run in Into the Breach is unique but if you meet certain criteria on certain maps you can unlock a new squad which carries abilities into the next run. Plus, you can only carry only one pilot into the next run, this results in very tricky decisions as you have to say goodbye to certain pilots who been with you for so long and losing any of these pilots in battle is very painful.
