REVIEW : KINGDOM HEARTS III (PS4 Pro)
Kingdom Hearts 3 is the perfect conclusion to an amazing series and it was totally worth the wait.
You play as long-time game protagonist Sora, who travels through different Disney universe with a emotional and action packed story to accompany.
For the new comers the story would be somewhat of a hit or miss, though there are hints and lore you can read into but still you will be missing something if you have not played the old games. Do check out the memory archive to get up to speed.
Kingdom Hearts 3 takes place after Dream Drop Distance, Sora needs to gather Masters of Light to defeat Organization 13.
Kingdom Hearts 3 features one of the best action JRPG gameplay, the combat is engaging with simple interface and few core commands to choose from. Most of the time you would be mashing the attack button till you are ready to unleash special abilities. You can also summon Disney Attractions mid battle like carousels, rollercoasters and water rapids. You can also recruit other Disney characters apart from Donald Duck and Goofy.
Keyblades can be used by Sora to use the magical abilities but they are unique to the world you obtain them from. The game is pretty easy on any difficulty when you are using the abilities the fill up the screen with colors.
The game features variety of Disney worlds, all in their artistic glory, ranging from Frozen to Toy Story. The Art style is so vastly different it would feel like you are playing whole other game. The stories that takes place in all the worlds is somewhat unrelated to overall story instead provides depth to the characters.
Exploring the environments is the best part of Kingdom Hearts 3 as the worlds as so beautifully crafted worlds. You are allowed to return to past worlds after you finish the game to collect treasures.
The main story lasts about 30 hours along with some side stuff, which is a perfect length and the pacing never fell off and game was engaging throughout.
The Gummi ship is your transportation between worlds where you travel in a sort of open space to capture constellations which provide bonus. You can even customize your Gummi ship or choose from existing ones.
