When Kaho returns to Japan for a family vacation, the other members challenge him to investigate an ancient urban legend: The Midnight Door of Ikebukuro Walking Park. Of course, Kaho seizes the chance to validate the legend and collect evidence of the paranormal. However, entering the long abandoned park just before midnight and opening the Midnight Door may be the worst mistake she will ever make…

REVIEW : SENSEs: Midnight (PC)

SENSEs: Midnight is a full 3D survival horror game inspired by Fatal Frame and Resident Evil, with TANK CONTROLS and FIXED CAMERA ANGLES to preserve the feel of classic survival horror titles. Discover the park’s secrets through environmental storytelling and lore, manage your limited inventory slots carefully to avoid backtracking, weigh risk and reward on puzzles that may alert the park’s vengeful spirits, use hiding spots to temporarily elude your pursuer, and remember, there is only one safe place to save your game… Expect the Ikebukuro walking park to exude a horrible vibe while a relentless Onryo stalks and chases you wherever you go!

REVIEW : SENSEs: Midnight (PC)

Midnight, in my opinion, is a fantastic game. That being said, I am aware that certain aspects of the game may raise issues about my viewpoint. I’d want to stress that this game was created not by a AAA firm, but by a fantastic artist and crew who worked tirelessly to bring this concept to life. I understand that the animations may appear off or stiff in comparison to other games, but keep in mind that game creation isn’t the cheapest or easiest thing to do these days. I beg that you consider the game in its entirety and remain open to it.

It’s a fresh take on real-world knowledge that fits in perfectly with the game’s setting. Not to mention that the game’s characters are all distinct. Not to mention that while playing the game, you get to experience some of their interactions and how the characters would be in real life.

REVIEW : SENSEs: Midnight (PC)

Although the puzzles are quite simple, certain sections may be challenging, and the game may appear to be shorter than the prior game. What should be noted and praised is the fact that Sense Midnight brings the tale of the previous 2D game into the 3D universe (which is neither easy nor cheap).
