REVIEW : THE CYCLE – SEASON THREE: STORM CHASERS (PC)

And the third season of the cycle is here and it’s named Cycle Season 3: the storm chasers. Many of you must have played the first 2 parts of this game so many of you must have been looking forward to part 3 and it’s here. While some of you must be thinking if it’s going to be worth your time to play this game or not while others might have started playing it. The game is free to play so I will suggest that you buy it anyway. So many of you might wonder what type of game this is, is it a free for all or battle royal or something else? And the answer is really simple and straight forward The Cycle Season 3: The Storm Chaser is a first-person view PvEvP shooter game, there will be other players that can be killed but it’s not necessary and if you want to do it for fun you can. The game is developed and published by Yager Development. The game was released in May 2020.

REVIEW : THE CYCLE – SEASON THREE: STORM CHASERS (PC)

In this game, you don’t win by winning the round but by completing as many contracts as possible. The only way to win a round in this game is to compete for the most amount of contracts. It’s your choice to kill or not. This feature of you has the choice of killing the players or not is good and works in the favour of the game to some extent. For starters you will be worrying about a surprise attack from anyone like you have to in other games like call of duty or PUBG etc. this same feature can also lead players to drop the idea of playing this game after a few days or weeks. When you win this round the feeling of winning is not that good it’s like winning a match but not winning it.

Coming to the controls and base of the game plot they are smooth very smooth for a first-person view. Also, the contracts are quite fun to complete you are going around jumping from one place to another collecting crystals, mushrooms, killing minions, and, as the map varies the contract varies but they kind of give the same feel which I think is a buzz kill. After dying you can just press ‘F’ and re-spawn at the last location the health also recovers quite quickly so it’s your call to engage again or to focus on contracts.

REVIEW : THE CYCLE – SEASON THREE: STORM CHASERS (PC)

The difference between season 3 and previous seasons are not that much. The game-play is very much similar to what it was in previous to parts of the game. They have added one big contract which is amazing its related to a train and adding a train to a first-person view shooting game is a good idea. Though the train moves slowly which I wish it wouldn’t. we need to take the train over and then protect it from others who are trying to take it over again and if the train would have been going fast it would have been a great challenge. There are 2 trains on the map that divides the focus of the whole team so that people will have to divide and conquer which makes this challenge a bit difficult because trying to take over 2 trains while the other players are trying to kill puts pressure. It’s up to the team to decide whether to engage in the battle or let this train go and capture the other. So there are quite a few possibilities in this round you just have to pick a path. One of the changes that have been made in season 3 is the lobby system they have included a walk around lobby instead of a simple menu that was there in earlier parts. In the lobby, you can change your guns, load-outs, and many more. This change will not affect your gameplay but it’s more like a style accessory doe the game. The last and most important change in the game is that how you do crafting in previous games you had put together many things like minerals, wood, etc to make guns but now it’s based on the cryptocurrency user interface, and it is much more simple and elegant rather than collecting all these different materials. Playing matches will get you these Crypto-Currency which can then be spent to unlock guns, attachments, upgrades, etc. but I have to say after using attachments guns start to feel better you have to find the optimum attachments which are kind of a grind.

review-the-cycle-season-three-storm-chasers-pcSo coming to the end I think the cycle has made a place for itself in the genre of first-person shooting game. The game has become much more fun in my opinion. Playing in solo mode is quite different as you get a chance to team up with different players just by asking them to join your pact. And this feature makes the game quite unpredictable. And solo mode made me more intrigued rather than playing squad. The game can be downloaded for free from EPIC GAMES and would suggest that you guys try this.
