Blood and Wine is the second paid expansion DLC to The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt. CD Projekt Red have again out done themselves, this DLC is filled to the brim with content and offers loads to do for Geralt on his last adventure.

Blood and Wine story is entirely different from main game story, just like Hearts of Stone. For his adventure Geralt travels to Toussaint. Toussaint is a whole new map filled with quests, side quests, places to explore and treasures to collect.

Toussaint is a beautifully realized map with stunning detail and bright color. The Architecture, the colors, the knight tournaments all make Toussaint seem like a holiday destination.

Geralt is in Toussaint to clean up the place from monsters. Geralt’s main task is to get to the bottom of all the mysterious murders, a task given to him by duchess herself. The quests are designed in such a way that you will appreciate the beauty of Toussaint and despise the horrors that plague it.

The main quests takes about 10 or 12 hours to complete but if you focus on only that, you will missing out on so much more. Side quests are so good they will keep you occupied even after the main story is complete.

Blood and Wine is Geralt’s Last adventure, a fitting conclusion to an epic tale. There are multiple endings which are based on the decisions you took, even in the core game.

Characters in Blood and Wine are again very well realized and fit right in Witcher’s Universe. Toussaint is a joy to explore as it is so densely populated with things to do. New enemies are introduced in this DLC but boss fights still take the cake.

Mutations provides another layer of customization to the already solid combat system. Mutations help fight the new foes and make the game feel a little easier by providing benefits which can easily topple any foe. Mutation system is much better addition than the runestone system introduced in Hearts of Stone
