The gothic, butt-kicking fighting game also gets a free demo as part of Steam Next Fest

Indie game publisher Modern Wolf and developer Cinder Cone are thrilled to announce that Skeleton Crew will launch on PC via Steam on June 16, 2022. This is the debut game from Cinder Cone, an indie development team founded in 2019.

Playing solo, or as a group of ghoul-friends, players can enjoy a humorous dungeon-crawling and platforming experience. Using online or couch co-op multiplayer, 1-4 players work together as the “Yeoman Eldritch Extermination Team,” trying to empty the world of evil and protect the humans of Karpathia.

Players will journey across three spooky regions and 17 hand-crafted, non-linear levels, taking down spooky specters and creepy creatures using anything that they can lay their hands on. Skulls, cabbages, and even fellow players can all be used as weapons in Skeleton Crew‘s frenzied, yet tactical combat. With upgradeable characters and usable items, players have plenty of ways to even the odds.

Skeleton Crew‘s multiplayer mayhem is also supported with hand-painted artwork as glossy visual effects (VFX) bring the ghosts, ghouls and other undead foes to life. A 28-track soundtrack adds atmospheric choral sounds thumping electronica to the game too.

Ahead of the game’s full release later this year, players can also enjoy a free Skeleton Crew demo as part of Steam Next Fest 2022. This can be found on the game’s Steam page.

Skeleton Crew will be available on PC via Steam from June 17, 2022 for USD / GBP / Euros.
