Meet Brazilian Indie Studio Electric Monkeys and Their Award-Winning VR Gravity Puzzler Gravitational — Available Next Week!

In the not-too-distant future, an experimental reactor using cutting-edge, gravity-based technology goes haywire, and it’s up to the brilliant scientist Sebastian to solve this problem before it’s too late. Gravitational, from Brazilian indie studio Electric Monkeys, is an innovative VR puzzler that will force players to think outside the box and solve a series of increasingly clever, gravity-based puzzles, as well as the challenges presented to wheelchair users in everyday life. It’s one thing to navigate a world not designed for you, it’s a whole other to do it in Zero-G.

Gravitational is headed to Oculus Quest 2, Oculus Rift, Oculus S, HTC Vive, and Valve Index via Steam and Viveport. The game is also available for PlayStation VR from digital publishers Perp Games via the PlayStation Store on November 11, 2021.

On behalf of Brazil Games – an export program created by the Brazilian Game Companies Association, ABRAGAMES, in partnership with Apex-Brasil, the Brazilian Trade and Investment Promotion Agency, we invite you to explore the world of Gravitational and chat with the talented group at Electric Monkeys — a prominent member of the Brazil Games organization and a shining example of the fantastic work being done in Latin America’s biggest gaming market.

Located in the thriving Brazilian city of São Paulo, Electric Monkeys is the gaming division of Studica Solution. The indie studio prides itself on their commitment to developing innovative, original IPs that stand out against the competition in a crowded market. The company takes respect, transparency, responsibility, and ethics very seriously and injects this dedication into their titles. Whether developing award-winning VR titles or mobile games, Electric Monkeys ensures their titles are filled with unique characters, memorable storylines, and ground-breaking gameplay.

After a research accident goes terribly wrong, brilliant scientist Sebastian loses the use of his legs. Undeterred, he continued to push his research for the mysterious Gravcorp and found himself on a space station working on bleeding edge, gravity-based reactor tech. When another experiment goes horribly wrong, it’s up to Sebastian to find a solution — which includes mastering both the gravitational forces and the inaccessibility faced by wheelchair users in a world that isn’t designed with everyone’s needs in mind.

Gravitational Key Features:

  • An Immersive VR Experience: See the Gravcorp station through the eyes of Sebastian in a gorgeous and detailed virtual environment

  • Up, Down, and Side to Side: Gravity is the key theme here and players will need to use their wits to solve challenging gravitational puzzles

  • Accessibility is Key: As a wheelchair user, Sebastian faces challenges in a world that isn’t designed for him, allowing players to experience life from the perspective of a person who must tackle these difficulties head-on

  • Digital BFF: An AI based on Sebastian’s deceased friend will be his only companion and will serve as both a guide and companion throughout the game

Gravitational is headed to VR platforms via Steam and the PlayStation Store on November 11, 2021.
