Basemark Appoints Sami Niska as CSO and Paula Stelander as Head of HR
Basemark, a leading software company specializing in graphics and autonomous driving vehicle software announced today two key appointments. Sami Niska has started as Chief Sales Officer and Paula Stelander as Head of HR. These two key positions complete the top management team overhaul and underscore the rapid pace of business development in the company despite the Covid-19 pandemic.
Sami has a long track record in international sales, business development and product strategy from Microsoft, Nokia, Hantro and his last company, Valossa. Sami received his Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from University of Oulu and MBA in International Finance from Aalto University. “I’m excited to join Basemark and help accelerate its ascension to the upper echelons of embedded software companies,” said Sami Niska.
Paula brings with her a robust and varied experience of recruiting and human resource management ranging from rapidly growing start-ups to multibillion-euro industrial corporations. Her passion is building strong company cultures. Paula has Master of Science in Organization and Management from Aalto University. “I see Basemark’s team having great potential to become a world class leader in its field. I’m eager to support the development of the company’s culture to accommodate this objective,” said Paula Stelander.
