Between the platform-specific start and end times listed below, you can enjoy playing the Borderlands 3 Standard Edition on Steam; Xbox Series X|S & Xbox One; Stadia; and PlayStation®5 & PlayStation®4 (PlayStation® Plus subscribers only).*
Not only can you take on the Calypso Twins and their deranged Children of the Vault cult in the main story campaign—you can also enjoy a bevy of free post-launch content that’s been added to the game since its release. Enjoy crossplay on Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Mac, Stadia, and PC thanks to the Crossplay Update, or try out all three seasonal events—Bloody Harvest, Broken Hearts Day, and Revenge of the Cartels—which can now be activated via the main menu!
To continue playing after the Free Play Weekend ends, purchase any edition of Borderlands 3 on the same platform (or within the same console family for consoles) and all your progress and loot will be saved so you can pick up right where you left off. This will also allow you to continue using any add-ons or items purchased for Borderlands 3 during the Free Play Weekend. If you’re a collector with a new-gen console that has a disc drive, consider grabbing one of the limited-run Borderlands 3 Ultimate Edition physical discs before they’re gone!

To play Borderlands 3 during the Free Play Weekend on your platform of choice, you’ll need to search for the Standard Edition of Borderlands 3 on your platform’s online store, and either download and install the game on PC and console or claim the game and launch it on Stadia. Please note that PS4 and PS5 users will need an active PlayStation®Plus subscription to participate.
