Envy Gaming Kicks Off Yearlong Partnership with the*gameHERs
Texas-based esports and entertainment organization Envy Gaming and the*gameHERs, an international coalition focused on amplifying the voices of women in gaming and gamers of marginalized genders, announced today a new partnership celebrating International Women’s Day and continuing throughout 2022. Envy and the*gameHERs will collaborate on content series as well as community building and collegiate initiatives, and will work to develop potential cobranded live events.
“Gaming and esports have come a long way but still have so far to go in the fair and representative treatment of women,” said Erin Schendle, SVP of Sales and Partnerships at Envy. “We want to bring a megaphone to the positive things that organizations, brands, and individuals are doing to foster a community of equality and empowerment for all girls and women interested in gaming.”
The*gameHERs works to create sexist-free spaces for casual players, hardcore gamers, streamers, programmers, cosplayers, and all femme-identifying people involved in gaming, and counts more than 150,000 members as part of its community. The organization hosts the annual the*gameHERs Awards – the only awards show in gaming by women, for women – to honor women in the industry and operates the*gameHERs Collegiate Program, which partners with universities and colleges to create on-campus the*gameHERs chapters for networking, career advancement, and community building opportunities.

Envy is home to several of the most popular female streamers and content creators including Alexandra Botez, Andrea Botez, Athena, CodeMiko, and JustaMinx. Earlier this year, the organization debuted the Envy House: an all-female creator house in Los Angeles that is both a home and activation space for prominent streamers. Envy social media manager Lindsay Caudill is a multiple-year finalist at the*gameHERs Awards, and the Envy Foundation has regularly supported initiatives and programming to foster inclusivity in the gaming community.
To celebrate the new partnerships, the organizations are planning co-streaming appearances, Envy-led participation at Texas-based the*gameHERs Collegiate Program events, and a series of staff and creator spotlights.
