Envy Gaming to Host Jack Link’s® Call of Duty®: Warzone Invitational Series with $150,000 in Prizes

nvy Gaming, which owns and operates the Call of Duty League™ 2020 Championship-winning team the Dallas Empire, is teaming up with Jack Link’s® to host a series of Call of Duty®: Warzone tournaments beginning December 18, 2020, and running through next year.

The Jack Link’s Warzone Invitational will feature three competitive tournaments, each with a $30,000 prize pool courtesy of the protein snack brand. Tournaments are expected to attract Call of Duty League players, top streamers and personalities in gaming, professional athletes and celebrities. Envy, which added global superstar Post Malone as an investor and owner – announced today team captains for the first event including Crimsix, Shotzzy, BobbyPoff, FRozone, HusKerrs, Jukeyz, LEGIQN, Rated, SebasBeron, Swagg, Team Summertime, TeePee, Tommey, Vikkstar, Warsz, and ZLaner. Each Jack Link’s Warzone Invitational event will air live on Envy’s Twitch Channel.

“This series of events is a major testament to the creativity that can be found in gaming and esports sponsorships,” said Shay Butler, VP of Sales and Marketing at Envy Gaming. “Envy and the Dallas Empire are able to incorporate pro players and top gaming talent from our professional teams, Jack Link’s is helping extend their marketing and promotion around Call of Duty through these five events, and Activision is giving real engagement and bonus opportunities to the fans and customers of Jack Link’s. Everyone wins, and we love that.”

The events extend Jack Link’s partnership with the Call of Duty video game franchise and esports organization Envy Gaming. Jack Link’s offers a Double XP program for Call of Duty Black Ops®: Cold War, giving video game players the opportunity to level up faster in the franchise’s newest title and collect custom in-game content with the purchase of Jack Link’s products at certain retailers.

“As a brand that understands that snacking and gaming go hand in hand, we are thrilled to be part of the team producing awesome tournament events around Call of Duty,” said Stephanie Leibke, VP of Marketing at Jack Link’s. “In a year where competitive entertainment has been impacted significantly and finding diversions in the home is getting more difficult daily, we are proud to be one of the brands working alongside Activision, and in an extension of our partnership with Envy Gaming, to produce these five tournaments. We’re providing gaming fans more options to power their play at home and watch as the industry’s best drop in on high stakes Call of Duty competition.”

Each tournament will also give fans the opportunity to get involved, with a $5,000 Fan Bracket Challenge prize pool per tournament. Fans can predict matchups and what teams they think will make a deep bracket run. Points are awarded for each correct prediction, and the fan with the most points at the end of the tournament wins.

Additional Pro-Am tournaments will be held early next year and will pair Call of Duty League pros and popular streamers with celebrities from sports, entertainment and pop culture. More players, streamers and celebrities will be announced in the coming weeks.

The first Jack Link’s Warzone Invitational event will take place on December 18. To stay informed, follow Envy Gaming, the Dallas Empire, and Jack Link’s on Twitter.
