Gamdias Zeus P1 Review : – The Zeus P1 comes with a dazzling box with promised RGB lighting customisation, an ultra-high performance optical sensor for gaming, programmable switches and much more. The front side of the box shows off double level RGB lighting and ergonomics and popular features of the mouse. While the back side lists a breakdown of the ergonomics, HERA software support and adjustable DPI.

The mouse comes with a quick install guide and a hard-wired black braided USB cable that has a gold-plated header.  The mouse itself looks awesome, with ergonomics which can easily support multiple types of grips. The grip coating on the sides allows you to dig your fingertips and get a firm hold, especially helpful for those using a lift-off technique.

The two LED light strips wraps all around the mouse, one is placed at the base, while the other is placed just above the side navigation buttons. The array of RGB lights in these light strips allows you to play around with two levels of lighting for some really cool effects. The intuitive ergonomics of the mouse lets you have firm fingertip grip using the side grips, a very low back for the palm rest and a fatter front for a firm claw grip.

There are a few programmable switches on the top which are pre-programmed for DPI/profile control. The large scroll wheel is heavily recessed but its soft rubber trim lets you control it accurately. The left and right mouse buttons have the streamlined ergonomics as the mouse and also sport small lip on the outer edges to keep your fingers in the centre for better control. Three PTFE slipmats are placed on the base along with a 12,000 DPI optical sensor in the middle near the front of the mouse.

Although this gaming mouse is plug and play ready but need Hera software to be installed if you want to enjoy all its features. Using the Hera software you can change the configuration of mouse buttons, assign macros, gaming profiles, shortcuts and much more. The macro engine is awesome and lets you control the speed of each macro and also has an advanced delay setting. These settings are time-consuming but lets you have complete control.

The sensor performance can also be tweaked and the acceleration can be turned on/off. Gamdias has done a great job with RGB lighting engine. You can pick a zone, pick a colour from the pallet, use the full range of RGB values and pick a range of speed, effects, brightness and much more. These all can also be set per profile letting you play around with loads of options. You also have the option to configure audio triggers and on-screen timers to any command, a very cool feature for MMO gaming.

The optical is ultra-smooth at 1600 DPI and even at a whopping 12,000 DPI, the tracking is incredibly smooth without showing the normally experienced signs of jitters. The sensor of the mouse is pixel perfect making it perfect for all kind of work and games. And the huge DPI range makes Zeus P1 a perfect choice for all sorts of game, especially when used with high-resolutions displays.

The macro engine and programmable buttons are best suited for MMORPG and similar games where cooldown timers and complex commands are really common. The timers and audio notifications further add up to the charm of using a gaming mouse. The mouse is nimble and flawless, packed with features and easily conquer all the tough tasks or games you challenge it with. A true masterpiece.
