GTX 1660 Ti Price

There are several rumours doing the rounds about the release date, it is speculated that the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti will be released in February. This is just based on the rumours and leaked information. Nvidia is yet to make an official announcement. But people are looking forward to see how this graphic card works.

GTX 1660 Ti Release Date

The latest leaked listing of Amazon reveals that GeForce GTX 1660 Ti will be released on 22nd February. Amazon Germany has already listed the cards on their site.

GTX 1660 Ti Benchmark

Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Ti is one of the most anticipated graphic cards now more than ever with so much leaked information. The most recent Benchmark leak was with the games- Final Fantasy XV and Ashes of the Singularity. The GTX 1660 Ti seems to be so much better than the GeForce GTX Titan X. The results of these benchmarks were recorded at a high resolution of 1080p.

It scored a total point of 4800 even with the resolution pre-set at 1080p against other cards like RTX 2060 which scored 5500 points, GTX 1070 scored 4900 points, and the GTX 1060 scored 3800 points. The GTX 1660 Ti Turing graphic card is in league with both the GTX 1060 and GTX 1070 cards. GTX 1660 Ti performs 25 percent better than the GTX 1060 card. Looking at the score you can also see that it is not far from GTX 1070, it just lags by 100 points.

GTX 1660 Ti Performance

GTX 1660 Ti will have a Turing TU116-400-A1 GPU core. This card has a completely new architecture as compared to RTX 20 series that have Turing TU106 GPU in RTX 2060 and RTX 2070 cards. It contains 1536 CUDA cores with 96 texture units and it clocks in at the speed of 1500 MHz and 1700 MHz. The card also features a 6 GB of GDDR6 VRAM that runs across a 192 bit interface. The memory will also be clocked at 12 Gbps. The card will have a similar TDP to GTX 1060 about 120W and it will offer the performance efficiency of GTX 1070 which is an added advantage because GTX 1660 Ti will have the benefits of both GTX 1060 and GTX 1070 cards. The GTX 1660 Ti card will not have ray tracing or DLSS.

The shading performance seems to the main attraction of this card. The architecture of these cards will give you 50 percent more improved performance per core as compared to the Pascal architecture. This gives the cards a better shader performance.

GTX 1660 Ti could be Nvidia’s first generation graphic card that will have dual brand graphics. On the marketing platform the RTX probably represents the premium level cards and the GTX 1600 series represent the entry level cards. DLSS stands for Deep Learning Super Sampling. DLSS is one of the thrilling features of the RTX series. DLSS requires tensor cores but DLSS has the potential to improve the performance of the mid-range and the entry level GPU’s tremendously. Nvidia sold this feature in its RTX series exclusively.

Both Ray tracing and DLSS are specific key features in the RTX series and Nvidia is probably using them for marketing purposes. If GTX 1660 Ti is taking after RTX 2060, as the cheaper version without ray tracing then there is a possibility that it may have the DLSS feature. But if the tensor cores and the RT cores are what make the RTX series expensive then chances are that these features will not be available in the GTX 1600 series. The GTX series are priced to be more affordable. The aim is to give you great performance at moderate pricing.

The German Amazon listing shows that the GeForce GTX 1660 Ti will come with a triple fan cooler, back plate, three display port outputs, and one HDMI port. The card’s packaging has also been clearly shown.
