“The World” is back on Nintendo Switch™! “.hack//G.U. Last Recode” will be released on 10 March, and the original comics will be available from 16 March!
BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment Asia is pleased to announce the release of “.hack//G.U. Last Recode” on the Nintendo Switch™ on 10 March 2022.
“.hack//G.U. Last Recode” will contain four parts from Vol.1 to Vol.4 and we have released a new trailer that introduces the game for each volume.
To further enhance the gaming experience for “.hack//G.U. Last Recode” players, the original comic “.hack//G.U. Begins” which condenses the three stories leading up to this work will be made available on social media from 16 March 2022 onwards.
Action RPG “.hack// G.U. Last Recode” will be released on Nintendo Switch™ on 10 March 2022!

An original comic that will focus on the journey of Ryo Misaki, and the three stories – “.hack//SIGN”, “.hack” and “.hack//Roots” – leading up to “.hack//G.U. Begins”, have been condensed into this new comic.
“.hack//G.U. Begins” will be made available weekly from 16 March on our official Twitter.
What is “.hack//G.U. Last Recode”?
It takes place in 2017 in the world’s largest MMORPG, The World R:2.
In this virtual world, there will be friends and fun adventures waiting for you… However, there are also rampant PK (Player Kill, an abbreviation for Player Killer referring to players who intentionally kill each other), repeated conflicts between guilds, and mysterious events that even the game developers can’t remember incorporating…
“The world” had begun to turn into a lawless zone that even the system administrators could not control.
In such a chaotic game, there emerged a young man, “Haseo”, who was feared as the “Terror of Death”.
The goal of Haseo, who indiscriminately hunts PKs, is to find and take revenge on an unidentified PK called the “Tri-Edge” who PKed his cherished friend, “Shino”, with a mysterious power outside the specifications and drove her unconscious in the real world.
Who is “Tri-Edge”? Why does in-game deaths affect the real world?
