Two years after the launch of PC game House Flipper, the creators at Frozen District have just released the latest addition to their makeover game – the HGTV DLC. The DLC is created in cooperation with Discovery, Inc. and the TV shows known from the HGTV channel.
The HGTV DLC for House Flipper expands the options known from the original game by adding incredible amounts of new content. With this DLC, virtual house flipping is taken to a completely different level, setting the bar much higher than it’s ever been. Players convinced they’re ready to rise to the occasion and take care of a fixer-upper with the help of the talents they know from their favorite makeover TV shows will finally get the chance to test their skills.
The HGTV DLC premieres today, May 14th at 4 p.m. GMT /9 a.m. PDT on Steam. It’s originally priced at $9.99, but a 10% launch discount will be available for a week since launch.
“Working with a TV show that focuses on the same field of entertainment gave our designers, programmers, and artists completely new experiences, points of view, and approaches on how to make our game better with the new content. It shed new light on different paths we can take in terms of expanding House Flipper,” said Tomasz Piecuch, Frozen District Lead Designer.
The cooperation with Discovery, Inc. and HGTV resulted in a substantial number of fresh ideas from the developers. Many of these resulted in implementing new unique mechanics, hundreds of new items suitable for many different house designs, as well as creating orders with certain plot twists and variables that haven’t been available in House Flipper before.
