Managing your health with an app – MyTherapy

We love any app that helps make day-to-day life that bit easier, and one that can help anyone taking regular medication is MyTherapy. The app, free for iOS and Android, lets you set up a medication schedule, as well as reminders for physical and mental activities, a symptom diary, and tracker for vital statistics such as blood pressure, weight, heart rate, and a host of other measurements.

The medication reminder is straight-forward to set up, allowing you to find your medication from the comprehensive database, or enter a custom one yourself. You can then tell the app the required dosage, on which days and times you need to take it, and for how long. You can also enter your inventory, so the app can remind you when you are running low.

MyTherapy will then notify you when you need to take your meds, prompting you to confirm you’ve taken it (or skipped it) with a single tap. The process is the same for activities, while the measurement and symptom trackers let you quickly enter the necessary information.

A neat feature of MyTherapy, and one that sets it apart from other medication reminder apps, is the health report that you can have sent to your inbox. It collects the information you have entered over the course of the month, and displays it in simple, easy-to-understand graphs and charts. Printing this out and taking it to your doctor is a handy way of helping your doc track your progress, and how effective your treatment is working.

You need an account and valid email address to receive the health report, but MyTherapy complies with strict German privacy laws and does not pass any personal data to third parties. And if you don’t wish to make an account, all the other features are still accessible. Whether you have an account or not, MyTherapy is completely free, has no in-app purchases, and no adverts.

While other medication reminder apps can be a little clunky to use, the MyTherapy’s interface is clean, simple, and easy to navigate. Most importantly, it is also reliable; we haven’t experienced any issues with the notifications, all of which have arrived exactly as scheduled.

If you are taking regular medication, it’s important to take it the way your doctor intended so it can have maximum effect. MyTherapy is a great way to help you do that, while the other features make it stand out as a comprehensive health companion.

You can download MyTherapy for iOS and Android.
