Success of Gaming Titles Across International Markets Raises IT Holding From Fifth To Third in App Annie Revenue Ranking for 2019

Mail.ru Group has been named as the third most successful European mobile app publisher of 2019 in terms of revenue, by research company App Annie, rising two places on 2018’s report.

Mobile games published by the group’s global gaming brand, MY.GAMES, have contributed significantly to this rise. The MY.GAMES team has focused on building a greater presence in global markets and consolidating its position as a leading developer and publisher of titles with international appeal over the last 10 years. Recently published Q3 figures show 69 percent of all MY.GAMES revenue is now generated from international markets.

Earnings from mobile titles have driven revenue through 2019, accounting for 62 per cent of total revenue. Meanwhile, 92 per cent of mobile revenues come from outside of Russia. In Q3 2019, 34 percent come from North America (USA & Canada) and 31 per cent from Europe. The top three mobile revenue generating territories in Europe in descending order are Germany, France and Great Britain.

MY.GAMES is committed to delivering the best gaming experiences to global markets and intends on continuing its strategic approach to growth over the next few years with the goal of increasing international revenue share to 80 per cent by 2022. It is hoped this will be achieved by increasing the company’s footprint globally and building strategic partnerships with brands, similar to the partnership with Fox Next to develop American Dad: Apocalypse Soon!.

Mobile titles under the MY.GAMES umbrella include Hustle Castle: Fantasy Kingdom, War Robots, Left to Survive, American Dad: Apocalypse Soon!, Love Sick: Interactive Stories and many others.
