National Moot Court Competition Organized at IMS Law College

IMS Law College Noida organized a four-day national moot court competition. Students of 34 reputed institutes across the country participated in this online national competition. Director of the Indian Law Institute, Prof. (Dr.) Manoj Kumar Sinha, Justice Sangeeta Dhingra Sehgal and Dean of Chaudhary Charan Singh University, Law Prof. (Dr.) Anjili Mittal was present along with IMS President Rajeev Kumar Gupta, Director Dr. Kulneet Suri, Academic Dean Dr. Manju Gupta, and Dean Law Dr. KS Bhati.

Dr. Manoj Kumar Sinha said that IMS Law College is one of prestigious law institutes that have given special benefit to this disaster time of COVID-19 to teachers, students and researchers from all over the country. Through this platform we are offering digital library of ILI and internship of ISIL to IMS students. Teachers and students of IMS Law College can take advantage of this opportunity.

34 teams participated in the four-day moot court competition out of which 16 teams were selected for the second round. At the end of the program, the team of University School of Law and Legal Studies, Guru Gobind Singh University was declared victorious in the online national moot court competition after taking a close look at the legal information of the participants.

While addressing the students Dr. Kulneet Suri, said that if you have decided to do justice to the people by becoming an advocate, then you understand that you have become half the legend of the law. She said that IMS Noida is constantly increasing the dimension of academic abilities of students in online and offline mode.

The Co-convener of the Moot Court Society, Prof. Ankit Rai said that today both the teams had a heated debate about their points. But due to extensive research, the team competition of University School of Law and Legal Studies, Guru Gobind Singh University topped the competition, while the team of Symbiosis College Hyderabad was declared the runner-up of this four-day online National Mootcourt competition.
