PREVIEW: Rise of Industry (PC/ Steam)
Rise of the Industry is a tycoon Game in which you start fairly simple like with farming. You just need water and farms to start farming. As you progress through the game you unlock new stuff making the production lines complicated.
The easiest way to stay green in the game is to create books, gather wood and buy water from wholesaler to make paper and cardboard. Take paper and cardboard to papermill to make books. This is the easiest way to stay in the green.
Transport has a lot of options too and it gets more complicated as you progress through the game. Initially you will need to make use of trucks and get extra dispatch slots at factories, plus, unlock new vehicles. Trains are especially useful when taking out loads of shipment. Trade routes have a good UI representation which tells you when to load and unload. Green is to load and red signifies unload. Also, only truck deports, train station and ports can be used as stops, commercial buildings can’t be used as stops.
Rise of Industry is very addictive tycoon game with lot of logistics to think about. The game features a great art style with a simplistic learning curve. The development team is actively developing the game and interacts with the community frequently.
The game is in early access and constantly improving with new features added frequently. AI is only very simplistic and not really a challenge. Generating money and managing resources is also easy as you get the hang of things but pollution and traffic can bog things down.
Wish the sound effects were slightly better as in current state they sound very simplistic. Even when you progress through the game, instead of sounding busy, the game still sounds very plain and easy.
Hardcore Gamers Unified recommends Rise of Industry in its early stage as it is an evolving game and with constant development and communication from developer team this can become best tycoon game of the generation.
