REVIEW : Gamdias ZEUS M1 Optical Mouse
You need the right tools for right job and if you are into gaming then Gamdias has you covered. Today we review the Zeus M1 gaming Mouse from Gamdias. Gamdias provides affordable but high-quality components and Zeus M1 follows the suit.
The M1 is really well designed mouse with the weight and design expertly tuned to suit variety of gamers. The performance of mouse also depends upon the surface you are using it on, so we highly recommend using mouse pad with any gaming mouse you have.
The Zeus M1 has 4 LED strips built in for that RGB flair. Two of the four LED strips are located along the curves of the mouse and provide it a very futuristic look, similar to Zeus P1. The other two strips are located alongside the mouse strips and the logo is RGB illuminated as well. The RGB lighting in the mouse is capable of producing 16.8 million colors.
Zeus M1 has rubberized grips on either side of the mouse which provides excellent grip during intense gaming sessions. The side buttons have a split look and look really amazing.
The more buttons you have the better, right? Yeah, this theory does not work well when we are talking about mouse. Gamdias made excellent choices in button layout when designing this mouse. Basic button layout is same as any other mouse, left and right click along with scroll wheel that clicks. The side buttons are programmable and two more buttons just below the wheel to change DPI on the fly. The mouse is really pleasant to hold and works really well with palm and claw grip. Large hands will also feel right at home using this mouse and will not suffer from any cramps.
Using HERA software to customize the mouse provides for lot of options, and variety of DPI choices. The Zeus M1 is a very precise mouse and every DPI change resembles accurately and works as expected.
The Zeus M1 weights little less than 100gms, a bit on lighter side but prevents cramps from happening during long gaming sessions. A tray at the bottom of the mouse slides out and you get the option to install single weight or both weights that come along with the mouse. We preferred the mouse at stock weight.
The surface tracking on M1 is really good, with every precise movements reflected accurately. Well, Zeus M1 works well on any type surface but we recommend using it with mouse pad.
You can customize the RGB lights any which way you want using the HERA software with variety of effects available like pulse or changing the color based on sound. There is an option to sync lights with your keyboard lights and that is amazing but only works if you have Gamdias keyboard.
