REVIEW : Pompom (PC)

You don’t have any control over Pompom the hamster’s movements, but you do have complete control over everything else. Set up blocks, springs, cannons, umbrellas, whips, and other items to create a safe route for Pom Pom to beat Captain Cat. Pompom has stepped out of the hamster wheel and into space on a mission to save his son Hoshi from Captain Cat and his evil crew. Track down each of the Space Cat Pirates while constructing platforms along the way. Use any tools you have at your disposal: springs, whips, umbrellas, cannons, etc. Pompom is unstoppable! Play a platformer in a fresh way by moving the platforms instead of the character. Discover a lovely homage to SNES oldies and the 16-bit retro era. Jump on flying fish, avoid wicked arrows, banish vengeful spirits, swim through piranhas, combat flying saucers, and more in this epic space rescue. Pompom fights foes and accumulates stuff, which you may utilise to help him win by interacting with the world and using those goods. Fly out of cannons, swing on ropes, slice vines, splash honey, freeze time, and many other items are at your disposal.

Pom Pom was working up a sweat on his hamster wheel one day when Hoshi the youngster walked into the room, holding a handful of gorgeous gems that had fallen from the sky with a loud ‘BOOM.’ Captain Cat and his henchmen arrived out of nowhere and grabbed the tiny child via a cosmic gate.Pompom now has to embark on a quest to save his son Hoshi from the eight Space Cat Pirates! You don’t control Pompom the hamster in this brand-new puzzle-action platformer; instead, you use your fast thinking to assist him by arranging and managing platforms, obstacles, and things around him. Build bridges, plant springs, cut vines… Analyze and use everything that comes your way. Be astute, swift, and efficient as possible. As you assist Pompom in outsmarting his foes and rescuing his boy Hoshi from Captain Cat and his crew, you will travel across space to beaches full of flying fish and ancient temples hidden in the jungle.Pompom is a platformer that I would suggest to any platformer enthusiast.

REVIEW : Pompom (PC)

The graphic aesthetic, which was influenced by Yoshi’s Island, Mario World, and other colourful SNES classics, drew my eye first, but it was the tremendously enjoyable yet easy gameplay that drew me in.

REVIEW : Pompom (PC)

Pompom runs and leaps on his own, and you must assist him in reaching the level’s finish by planting blocks and tampering with other obstacles in order to keep him safe. Despite the fact that the initial levels are fairly simple (as any first set of levels should be), they already provide a good degree of challenge, requiring you to think and think quickly in order to keep Pompom running. Every level is a joy to play. It’s just the right amount of challenging, and I found myself redoing levels to see if I could grab everything in them without becoming bored or bored. I was both nervous and eager as I awaited this publication. If you enjoy puzzle platformers, this game is well worth the money.
