REVIEW : Sheepo (XBOX Series X)

Sheepo is like a sweet,  small and crisp game which is a Metroidvania with pretty basic gameplay. It is a tale of a strange-looking sheep that can shapeshift, and his character is weirdly cute. In simpler words, the world is ending in Sheepo, and he has been given the task of saving and collecting the eggs of the six animal species.

REVIEW : Sheepo (XBOX Series X)

The game will begin with storytelling in your spaceship and ask you to traverse the planet in search of the eggs with a sprawling map. You must save them. There is no combat in Sheepo, and still, the game is filled with fun and excitement. It is beyond expectation and fantastic. The characters are nicely designed, and the soundtracks are amazing. Our enemies are the guards who are protecting the eggs, and we have to collect them anyway. The planet’s name is Cebron, which is full of traps. There is no violence or much action; we are just supposed to platform and solve puzzles to get the eggs from the boss. The boss is the species queen who is protecting their eggs. You can achieve control of animals as we collect the eggs.

REVIEW : Sheepo (XBOX Series X)

There are a lot of tasks on the way, which will not make much sense, but you will have to do them. You will unlock more places to explore and will broaden the area of gameplay. Sheepo will dig, fly, jump and teleport on your commands. You can transform into the creatures whose eggs you collect and travel as further as you can and dig as deep as possible. There are environmental risks in the game. The control is simple and very smooth. The game is not easy but pretty simple to understand. It comes with three difficult stages, and the platforming is tricky and needs you to put your mind to it. There is a place where you have to keep jumping without a break, or Sheepo dies. There is humour involved, and while you defeat the boss, you make them fight themselves. You can explore the old dingy mines, the stinky sewer system and the abandoned mall. The music is fun and keeps you moving throughout the gameplay. The background is pretty simple, orange during daylight and dark during nights with stars. Feathers in Sheepo play an important role spread across the whole planet, and well, you need to collect them, and they can be used at the Dead Mall. The map is nonlinear and a little difficult to understand, and is divided into biomes. The characters are weird, but Sheepo is very adorable.
