The release date arrives alongside a new overview video, which follows protagonists Jenn and Tristan as they plunge into another world for tense, dungeon-clearing battles, eventually retreating to their sleepy town to catch a breath and prepare for their next fight. See how the duo juggle all-night fights against surreal foes as formidable warriors with leisurely trips around town as average, laid back teens during the day.

1P2P Studio also detailed Young Souls‘ combat mechanics, how each hero’s style is boosted through visually unique equippable gear, inspirations for the game and more via a PlayStation Blog post today. Aspiring brawlers can loot full context here.

Young Souls‘ engrossing narrative follows the twins as they search for their guardian, a professor who mysteriously vanished just before the twins discovered an inexplicable portal within his estate. The duo now spend their days roaming their quaint town, gaining advantages through gym sessions and buying fresh outfits ahead of their all-night fights to clear dungeons brimming with foes. With the fate of their most cherished companion as well as the greater world in their hands, Jenn and Tristan must brave immeasurable dangers and endure the defining battles of their lives.
