Sharda University conferred with an Award for Internationalization of Indian Institutions

Sharda University an institutions of excellence, inspiring value-based education, research and development has been conferred with the ‘Internationalization of Indian Institutions’ award at the ASMA Annual Convention & Awards 2019. AFAIRS Exhibitions & Media, one of Asia’s leading education exhibitions in strategic partnership with ASMA initiated the event. The award ceremony was conducted at Sahara Star, Mumbai on 16th-17th September.
The event recognized 20+ promising universities & colleges in India that have made a significant, well-planned, well-executed impact toward comprehensive internationalization of education using innovative and creative techniques. Student diversity of international students, foreign faculties, global collaboration, students & faculties exchange are among the few criteria for selection. The awards put the spotlight on those Indian Institutions that are committed towards excellence and have transformed their campuses into truly International education hubs.
Mr. Y K Gupta, Pro-Chancellor, Sharda University and Vice Chairman, Sharda Group of Institutionsaccepted an award on behalf of the University. Commenting on the event Mr. Gupta said, “We feel privileged to be honored with such a prestigious award. I am grateful to the organizers for believing in us as this motivates us to put in more efforts. We will continue to strive further to achieve greater excellence in the future”.
Other distinguished personalities who attended the event include – Mr. Vishnu Prakash, Former High Commissioner of India to Canada and Former Ambassador of India to South Korea, Dr. Suresh K Goel, Former Ambassador of India to Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Former Director General of the Indian Council of Cultural Relations (ICCR) and Mr. Sanjeev Bolia, Founder & MD Afairs Exhibitions & Media.
