Crayon awarded the Singapore Enabling Silver Mark Award in recognition for its workplace diversity and inclusion
Crayon, a leader in IT services and innovation, announced today it has won the Singapore Enabling Silver Mark Award. The Singapore Government honored the company with national-level accreditation to recognize its best practices and outcomes in disability-inclusive employment.
“These employers made remarkable efforts to tap on a wider talent pool of persons with disabilities. By focusing on the abilities, persons with disabilities can be gainfully employed along with a sense of identity, purpose, and social connectedness,” said Mdm Halimah Yacob, President of Singapore, in her introductory remarks during today’s virtual ceremony.
“Receiving this award from the Singapore Government is an honor for the Crayon team. It is a recognition of our contribution towards an inclusive future for all highly qualified individuals, regardless of their condition,” said Sun Whye Mun, General Manager for Crayon Singapore.
Since 2020, Crayon has promoted a more diverse and sensitive workforce through inclusive hiring practices in the Asia Pacific region. Under the initiative, Crayon has achieved an 8% of employees with disabilities in Singapore.

This starts from within: promoting inclusivity values and encouraging people from diverse backgrounds to join the Crayon family,” said Rhonda Robati, Senior Vice President for the Asia Pacific.
In addition to its inclusive hiring practices, Crayon has organized a series of awareness workshops in partnership with NGOs in Singapore and the Philippines that focused on people with disabilities, providing guidance on important language and etiquette fundamentals and assistive technology tools to enable its diversified workforce. Also, several employees are part of an ongoing mentoring program that provides regular career advice to students with disabilities at Nanyang Polytechnic.

Crayon is also working to improve its talent acquisition in the region to encourage people with disabilities to apply. Job postings now include inclusivity clauses, and onboarding processes have been modified to accommodate employees with disabilities better.
