Major Updates for Swords of Legends Online, AION, and Elsword, TERA Shuts Down, and More Gameforge News
Gameforge — the leading publisher of popular free-to-play multiplayer online games including AION, NosTale, and Swords of Legends Online — has had a busy start to the summer so far, and would like to share with you some of the biggest news and updates from the month of June!
New Zones, Dungeons, and PvP in Swords of Legends Online Update 2.1
A strange disturbance in space and time has occurred in Shenzhou, and biyouji are wreaking havoc on the Dragonstar District! Swords of Legends Online2.1: Attack of the Biyouji update features tons of exciting new content and the continuation of the epic fantasy tale. Players will explore two new zones, the Dragonstar District and the Realm of Light, battle through all-new dungeons, face off against others in a new map for Battle of the Continents, relax with new activities in Leisureland, and work their way through a new battle pass!
Among the new content, there are new cosmetics to earn in-game, changes to make gearing up easier, the addition of the Martial Artist feature which helps new players get familiar with their selected class, and even more content coming in the next weeks including a brand new PvP Season, new Dungeons, and new Raids!
OGame Lifeforms Approaching Orbit as Thousands of Players Join the Mobile Beta
The massive Lifeforms expansion is making its way to the long-running space strategy MMO, OGame this summer, as the team continues to polish and implement player feedback from the Beta to the release build.
Gameforge is also inviting players to participate in a closed beta test for OGame‘s upcoming mobile app, which launches later this year for Android and iOS devices. You will get a chance to try out the most important game mechanics such as research, development, and defense on the go! The development team aims to deliver a final version that players will love, so during the beta, all participants are welcome to share their impressions and observations.
Intergalactic Travel at a Discount! Trigon: Space Story is Part of the Steam Summer Sale
Calling all aspiring space captains: roguelike space strategy game Trigon: Space Story will be discounted for the first time as part of the Steam Summer Sale! Gameforge’s first single-player title will be on sale for 20% off between June 23 and July 7, on Steam, and 30% off on the Gameforge website.
Gameforge and Sernur.tech are also pleased to announce the addition of an overhauled Easy mode for Trigon: Space Story. In Easy mode, the core gameplay remains the same, but players new to roguelikes and strategy games can fully experience the breathtaking locales and exciting encounters of Trigon: Space Story without the difficulty holding them back.
New Survival Dungeon and More in Metin2
Metin2 players have been taking on the evil Demon God Sung Mahi in the latest update of the Conqueror’s of Yohara expansion. In the new Sung Mahi’s Invasion survival dungeon, players must face off against several waves of enemies before taking on the final boss for some valuable loot within random maps that change in every instance with elements that will affect the invading forces attacking from nine different realms.
The updates also bring new gear, additional features, and quality of life improvements.
Spread Your Wings in NosTale
On July 6, 2022, the Partner and Wing Fusion update will come to NosTale, bringing with it two new features. The Partner specialists fusion system will allow players to upgrade their favorite partner specialists by utilizing unused and duplicate Partners as material. The Wing fusion system will allow players to use a new shop item to change the appearance of their characters by adding a pair of wings. The Wing fusion feature is cosmetic only and does not affect gameplay.
AION Needs a Hero
A world torn between light and shadow needs a hero to pick up the pieces. AION 8.3, available on July 6th, introduces the all-new Hero system and a new World raid to Aphsaranta, as well as a surprise Treasure Hunt event. Returning players will be able to participate in Sprint Character Events to gain boosts, and experience revamped matchmaking to improve the gameplay experience.
Several game adjustments have been made in regard to Instances and Lugbug missions. Additionally, Elyos and Asmodian Aphsaranta agents and Corps will be partially replaced.
A Whole New Region Comes to Elsword
Stab, slash, and whack your way through a whole new region in Elsword! Tirnog and the village Magmelia are now available for players to explore, along with new dungeons to conquer, and items, armor, and costumes to collect! The latest update will also see several balance patches to improve the overall gameplay experience.
TERA Says Goodbye with One Last Quest
All TERA servers will be deactivated on June 30, 2022, at 10 AM CEST / 4 AM EDT / 1 AM PDT. As a final goodbye and thank you to loyal players, Gameforge and Bluehole have created The Last Quest, a video featuring many popular characters expressing their gratitude and bidding farewell to the chosen one. It can be viewed on the official TERA YouTube channel.
