Meet PushStart-The Brazilian Studio Who Has Worked With Some of the Biggest International Brands and Check out Their Games

We would like to introduce you to a Brazil-based game development studio that is making some big waves in the industry. PushStart is an indie studio that has worked with some of the biggest brands on the planet, including Discovery, Nestlé, Turner, The Walt Disney Company, and Hasbro, among many others. This multi-talented, multi-disciplinary studio has helped drive the explosive growth of the Brazilian gaming industry.

PushStart is another critically-acclaimed example of the great things happening in Brazil’s thriving games industry and are prominent members of Brazil Games — an export program created by the Brazilian Game Companies Association, ABRAGAMES, in partnership with Apex-Brasil, the Brazilian Trade, and Investment Promotion Agency.

The multi-award-winning studio was founded in 2014 by Felipe Marlon, Vinicius Oppido, and Wagner Nitsch. With decades of combined experience in game and software development, the team of passionate developers creates multi-media titles that span games, apps, websites, animation, and television shows. PushStart co-created and developed a game for The Walt Disney Company (Latin America) to promote their live-action series, Deadly Class, a series based on the comic books by Rick Remender and produced by the Russo Brothers (Avengers Infinity War, Avengers Endgame). The game, Deadly Arcade, a Beat’em Up game full of Easter Eggs to amuse the player who faces parodies of famous characters from the rivals TV series in a stunning pixel art style. The game was a huge success, obtaining many honors in Latin American Festivals and was recently nominated in four categories during the New York Festival: Advertising Awards 2020.

The 35-member team has worked with world-renowned brands and has been nominated for awards at events such as Game Developers Conference, Games For Change, Game Connection America, BIG Festival, Kidscreen, MIP Junior and more. Most recently, PushStart’s mobile game Luna’s Lab, has reached 1 million+ downloads as of June. The game, based on the popular preschool TV series, Earth to Luna, is an International Mobile Gaming Awards Global nominee and comKids 2020 finalist.

uring BIG Digital 2020, PushStart announced their newest title WOW ANIMALS – Hide N’ Seek. Coming to Android and iOS, this captivating puzzle game takes players on a magical journey following Bio, Capy, and Tufo as they pilot different versions of the SuperBike through procedurally generated environments. As they look for amazing animals, players will explore the various biomes of the world and learn a little more about the many incredible animals that roam the earth. The game is one part of a multimedia project, which includes the WOW Animals animation series, set to debut on July 4 on Blue Ant Media’s ZooMoo YouTube channel.

Brazil Games has worked tirelessly for the past decade to support thriving Brazilian game studios internationally — funding their attendance at international video game events and connecting them with partnerships and financial backing opportunities. As the 13th largest gaming maker in the world, Brazil’s local industry has a current growth rate of 13.5 percent annually and accounts for $1.6 billion USD of the world’s video game-related revenue. Through their work with their affiliate studios, Brazil Games is an integral part of their success.
