Navigate a story full of mystery and intrigue in the thrilling new FMV/Live Action Game and Interactive Film Hybrid

Aviary Studios has released the official poster and further tech details for The Gallery, the FMV/live action video game and interactive film hybrid scheduled for release in April, 2022 for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PlayStation consoles, iOS and Android platforms as well as a release in UK cinemas as an immersive and participative interactive experience.

Written and directed by Paul Raschid, one of the most prolific live action video game / interactive film creatives, The Gallery is a thrilling combination of hostage thriller and social drama with a dash of world film festival cinema aesthetic. The poster has been created to engage both gamers and interactive film fans with its blend of powerful images depicting the games’ two time periods – 1981 and 2021, both of which are of considerable political, social and cultural significance in UK history.

Aviary Studios has also been invited to give a seminar on interactive storytelling in Games and Film at the Independent Directions (INDIs) Film Festival on 19th February.

The seminar will be the latest in a series of seminars given by Aviary Studios and it’s collaborators Stornaway.io and Edgeloop in 2021 at Cannes Film Festival , devCom Cologne, Develop Brighton and Tallinn Film Festival. Other seminars are planned for 2022.

Stornaway.io’s groundbreaking platform lets Game and Film creatives plan, edit and publish interactive films and video games as part of a regular game and film production workflow, letting the creative focus on the storytelling and putting all the budget on screen, not into the tech. At its heart is a magically simple, creative-friendly web application which lets you plan, produce and publish interactive video stories for games and films.

Edgeloop have built a Unity game engine to enable Game developers upload to all the major Game platforms including Steam, iOS and Android, Playstation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch. The Game engine was built for FMV / live action video games but can be adapted for other Games.  Edgeloop also provides services of Visual Effects, Augmented Reality, Motion Graphics, and App Development.

The Gallery will launch this April for PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox and PlayStation consoles, iOS and Android platforms and a UK interactive cinema release.
