UK Esports Awards to be live streamed from ESL Studio 1

The UK Esports Awards, the new event designed to recognise the people who go above and beyond to improve the domestic esports scene, has confirmed its venue.

The event will be livestreamed by broadcast partner ESL UK and hosted at its state-of-the-art Studio 1 facility in Leicester on Saturday June 30th.

The awards will highlight a variety of UK esports talent from players to casters, managers to admins and more. For year one, the ceremony will be livestream-focused, with networking opportunities available to those physically attending. Ticketing info will be released at a later date.

The venue will hold a limited space for partners, brands and personalities on the evening.

UK Esports Awards has hired ESL’s venue and will be using the broadcast team to livestream the awards evening. UK Esports Awards decided that ESL UK were the perfect broadcast partner for the event due to their continued support of the UK scene, though they hold no ownership and remain completely impartial in all aspects of the awards.

UK Esports Awards co-founder Dominic Sacco said: “The UK Esports Awards is not a typical awards ceremony with a black tie dress code or sit-down meal, but esports is not a typical industry. This is all about the community, recognising talent and helping to put UK esports on the map.

“We’ve chosen to hold the awards at ESL’s Studio 1 because of its state-of-the-art facilities, which we feel are perfect for streaming the inaugural UK Esports Awards.”

James Dean, Managing Director, ESL UK, added: “We’re delighted to be supporting these awards, which will no doubt be a true celebration of the fantastic UK esports community on a very grassroots level. We hope this will be a long lasting partnership and our support for the awards will only help them get bigger for the future.”

Desk hosts, panellists and more information will be revealed at a later date – watch this space and follow the UK Esports Awards on Twitter, Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and via www.ukesportsawards.com to stay up to date.
