Velocity®2X will get a limited physical release for Nintendo Switch!
The Stuttgart-based publisher Strictly Limited Games, which specializes in the publication of highly limited, physical collector’s editions of digital games for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita today announced that a collector’s edition of the shoot ’em up platformer Velocity®2Xwill be available for pre-order beginning January 27th.

In Velocity®2X, become a certified badass and slip into the role of Lt. Kai Tana, a former Test Pilot captured by a race of hostile aliens. Originally developed for the Sega Mega Drive, either one or two players (in an optional co-operative play mode) are fighting their way through endless hordes of alien enemies. The devs at Bitmap Bureau wanted the game to look, feel and sound like the classic Mega Drive games of the ’80s and ’90s, but they have also added some new elements that weren’t so common in games of that era, particularly procedural map generation and randomization of gameplay elements. After a hugely successful Kickstarter-campaign, this stunning blend of classic and modern gameplay elements will be released in physical form through Strictly Limited Games. Publisher Strictly Limited Games and the Brazilian developer QUByte announce the upcoming release of the Japanese arcade-only Bullet Hell shoot ’em Up franchise Vasara Collection. Vasara and its sequel Vasara 2 were developed and published by Visco Corporation in 2000, available exclusively in Japanese arcades. In 2019, for the first time ever, both games will finally be coming to home consoles. The games are set in the year 1600 A.D. The current ruler of Japan, Hideyoshi Hashiba has died and Ieyasu Tokugawa is planning on overthrowing the seat of power. The three protagonists are trying to keep Tokugawa from succeeding, battling their way through a series of warlords sent by Tokugawa to stop them. The player will have to defeat a plethora of enemies and colossal bosses to prevent the imminent assumption of power. Vasara Collection will get a strictly limited released in early 2019 for Nintendo Switch, PS4 and PS Vita.
The Collector´s edition of Velocity®2X for Nintendo Switch will be limited to 1500 pieces and will be available exclusively in the Strictly Limited Games online shop from 27 January to pre-order at a price of 49.99 euros. There will also be a standard version of Velocity®2X for Nintendo Switch. The also limited version (2500 pieces) will be available at the price of 29,99 Euro.
