Warpforge & Speed Freeks playtest open and Gladius free to keep on Steam as Warhammer Skulls enters final few days

Games Workshop, in conjunction with licensed partners Plaion, Caged Element and Everguild, have launched an alpha playtest for Warhammer 40,000: Speed Freeksand a time-limited open demo for leading CCG Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge, where you can try the new Tyranids alongside the other factions, for the 2023 Warhammer Skulls event.

Warpforge’s demo runs to June 1st and Speed Freeks’ playtest to June 8th – and are the latest in several exciting announcements, trailers and special prices on offer as the celebration of Warhammer video games continues into its final few days. ​ 

This week only, there are three free games available to keep forever – all available to redeem until the end of the festival on June 1st. On Steam, the acclaimed Warhammer 40,000: Gladius is free to keep; over on the Apple App Store players can get the superb family board game Talisman Digital Edition (normally a premium app); meanwhile on GoG the classic Warhammer 40,000: Final Liberation is available alongside an extensive Goodie Pack which hasa host of wallpapers, vouchers and other extras.

 

The freebies don’t stop there, with Warhammer Underworlds – Shadespire Edition have all existing DLCs for free to existing and new owners on Steam with a special price; meanwhile, new free content launches for existing owners of Warhammer 40,000: Shootas, Blood and Teef and Warhammer 40,000: Chaos Gate. New Nurgle Wardog Stalker and bloom assault missions drop for Chaos Gate, while new hats and leaderboards arrive for Shootas Blood & Teeth.

The free content and games continue on mobile, with the launch of the Thousand Sons and a brand new campaign for Warhammer 40,000: Tacticus, while the Vampire Counts faction arrives in Warhammer: Chaos & Conquest.
