REVIEW : CORSAIR CARBIDE SPEC 04
Carbide SPEC-04 , which released a only a couple of months ago is an extremely light economically friendly mid-tower gaming case that is available in colour schemes black/yellow , black/red and black/grey.
It’s angular , stylish and fits your requirement of a modern looking easy to place chassis. Being light in weight , it helps in the building process since it’s also not much of a task to lift it even out of it’s packaging. The front 120mm LED fan provides excellent cooling and the top cover can too house 2x120mm fans. It holds a pretty decent amount of space to house an mATX or ATX build and its intake is filtered by removable but firm mesh triangles towards the front instead of removable filters.
The skeleton of SPEC-04 is akin to that of SPEC-01 but it creates more space for an additional fan mount due to absence of 5.25” optical drive bays. There however , is very little space for cable management , therefore pre-wiring is reccommended. There are 2xUSB Ports (1×2.0 and 1×3.0) with minimal front I/O. The USB ports are connected through a single cable which plugs into the 3.0 socket on the motherboard. The side window is equitably large and tinted which proves to be suitable for it reduces glare from the white LED fan. There is room for any modern GPU, CPU cooler, and PSU since it holds Up to 370mm clearance for GPUs, 170mm for CPU coolers, and 225mm for PSU.
The Corsair SPEC-04 also comes fairly packed with a decent instruction manual which has been compiled nicely to suit the buyer. It also includes all the screws that are required. What is to be bought before are the additional fans for better airflow. Its light weight accounts to thin metal structurally stable body. The installation is manageable and the case is easily available too. The budget friendly idea with decent airflow capability makes this case more suited.
