REVIEW : TEKKEN 7 (PS4/ PS4 Pro)
“Each one has a reason to fight.”
Ninth installment in the Tekken series , Tekken 7 is a button mashing fighting game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. Playable on Microsoft Windows , XBox One and Playstation 4 , Tekken 7 has an improved combat model circling around perfection. The game focuses on 1 on 1 battles. As their names imply , the two mechanisms that the game offers , work much on the same lines. Where ‘Rage Art’ is an art ( more or less) of the player to deal with a critical attack once their health bar is critical and the damage – 30% , in exchange for inactivating the normal attack power increase , ‘Power Crush’ lets the player attack even while continuously being hit by their enemy , still receiving the damage by the attacks of their enemy.
The character customization almost steals the show as the characters appearances speaks for themselves and also prove at the same time how one shouldn’t always judge a book by its cover.
Though its all about fight , the game carries player dialogues that add up to it being closer to real fighting arenas where the game cannot begun or end ( for that matter) unless one gives away verbal attacks also showcasing an attitude worth fighting.
Tekken 7 lets its player experiment with the game just for the sake ( read , rage) of it. It wouldn’t be wrong to mention however that a new player might face problems while being introduced to the game for Tekken 7 has Tekken ( taken) it for granted that the player is known to the controls before putting their hands on this master piece. What might act as a supplement here is what they have introduced for the first time , ‘practice mode’ – experiment all you want till you think you’re ready to be tekken ( taken , sorry cant help it . In absolute awe of the game * inserts heart emoji* ) down or to take down your enemy. The game has a flair and the freedom that it provides in the combat system glues you onto your seat and makes you want to play it more and more until ( read – even after ) your fingers hurt due to all the button mashing you did out there.
Tekken 7 with a few new additions has managed to set many eyeballs on the game yet again. With some new characters been introduced into the game , Tekken 7 aims to please. Three rounds in the field with a sound system that seemingly pulls you even more into the game , this is what a hardcore button hammering player might be looking for.
Happy button smashing!
