Traditional sports may be on hold, but esports is moving as fast as ever. Dallas-based Envy Gaming, owner of the Dallas Empire and Dallas Fuel esports teams and 8th most valuable esports organization in the world according to Forbes, is getting local celebrities involved.
The Call of Duty League is launching Live From Warzone, a series of events featuring pro Call of Duty players dropping into Modern Warfare‘s new 150-player battle royale mode with local celebrities – and the Dallas Empire is ready to roll. On Tuesday, April 14th at 8pm CST, Dallas Stars player Stephen Johns, Dallas Mavericks player Jalen Brunson, and The Ticket host Mike Sirois will join the Dallas Empire’s Ian “Crimsix” Porter for an evening of Warzone gameplay.
Crimsix is regarded as one of the greatest of all time in Call of Duty esports, holding the record for world championship wins and appearances as well as prize earnings.
The event will be livestreamed on Crimsix’s Twitch channel (twitch.tv/Crimsix) and featured later on in Call of Duty League visuals.
