Team brings on former Paris Eternal & Element Mystic talent in preparation for fourth Overwatch League season

DALLAS (October 23) – The gang is back together.

The Dallas Fuel went back to the drawing board and today announced the first pieces in what is sure to make an unforgettable lineup for the 2021 Overwatch League season. The Fuel, which is owned by Dallas-based Envy Gaming, signed Head Coach Hee-won “RUSH” Yun, DPS player Yeong-han “SP9RK1E” Kim, and off-tank player Han-been “Hanbin” Choi. All three join the team from the Paris Eternal, where they were the champions of the Summer Showdown tournament and reached the third round of the 2020 Overwatch League playoffs.

The signing of two new players and a new Head Coach is the first major move in an off-season focused on building a new Dallas Fuel team for the Overwatch League’s fourth season.

Joining the Dallas Fuel is a reunion for Rush, Sp9rk1e, and Hanbin, who will be back together with current Fuel DPS player Dong-ha “Doha” Kim. All four previously competed on the iconic Element Mystic squad in Overwatch Contenders in 2019, where the team earned championship wins in multiple tournaments including The Gauntlet.

“Bringing this squad together gives us the opportunity to do what we’ve always set out to do: bring championships to Dallas,” said Mike Rufail, Owner and Chief Gaming Officer of Envy Gaming. “We’re determined to bring our fans a performance and team that they can be really proud of. This offseason will be a testament to new beginnings.”
