KONAMI’s eFootball.League 2020/21 SEASON IS OPEN

Konami Digital Entertainment B.V. has today announced that the 2020-21 season of the eFootball.League has kicked off with the start of the eFootball.Open division.

eFootball.League is an esports tournament that welcomes competitors of all skill levels. As with last season, the series is divided into two divisions: eFootball.Pro, the elite competition exclusively for professional football clubs, and eFootball.Open, the amateur tournament open to all players.

eFootball.Open – Enter Now!

Last season’s eFootball.Open was a runaway success, amassing over 1.4 million tournament participants worldwide. From today, any eFootball PES 2021 SEASON UPDATE (PES 2021) console or mobile player will be able to participate in the Online Qualifiers.

Players on PES 2021 LITE, newly released and free to play, will also be able to enter eFootball.Open, ensuring its position as one of the most accessible esports tournaments globally.

The top performing competitors in each round will earn a place to proceed onward and may eventually be selected to compete in the World Finals in July 2021. See here for more information – LINK

eFootball.Open is available to all users and takes place in certain Matchday events that use preset teams. Meet the conditions set out in each stage of the tournament to earn eFootball Points*, a new type of currency that can be exchanged for various in-game bonuses, including Iconic Moment Legends. Furthermore, during Online Qualifiers Round 1 from December 7th, all users can earn more eFootball Points in addition to regular rewards.

To celebrate the beginning of the new season, all users who login to PES 2021 or PES 2021 LITE can claim 10,000 eFootball Points. Earn more points by engaging with various eFootball.League activities and exchange those for select Iconic Moment Series players.

eFootball.Pro – Matchday 1 Streams December 12th

With over 15 million total views on YouTube during the 2019/20 season, eFootball.Pro is back for the new season on December 12th with professional esports players representing some of the world’s biggest football clubs.

Continuing the mid-season change due to the ongoing pandemic, eFootball.Pro Matchdays during the regular 2020/21 season will be played online in 3v3 CO-OP matches. “MVP” and “Top Goal-Scorer” awards are given out to individual players following each Matchday, with additional prize money awarded to the clubs based on their final ranking at the end of the season.

As before, the eFootball.Pro clubs will be the same as those featuring in the eFootball.Open tournament, giving anyone the opportunity to climb the ladder and be considered by each club to join their professional esports team.

The livestreaming details for eFootball.Pro Matchday 1 (MD1) on Saturday 12December are as follows:

  • 13:00 (CET) – FC Bayern München vs Juventus
  • 13:50 (CET) – Celtic FC vs AS Monaco
  • 14:40 (CET) – Arsenal FC vs FC Schalke 04
  • 15:30 (CET) – Manchester United FC vs Galatasaray SK
  • 16:20 (CET) – FC Barcelona vs AS Roma

By watching the MD1 Featured Match(FC Bayern München vs Juventus)through the campaign website, users will have the opportunity to earn 300 eFootball Points.
