This year Call of Duty does not feature a single player campaign but has a battle royale mode along with robust multiplayer offering with good amount of work gone into how guns feel along with tighter match making and it shows.

REVIEW : Call of Duty Black Ops 4 (PC)

Call of Duty Black Ops 4 multiplayer options are polished, gameplay has been refined, guns have been tuned to perfection making it very enjoyable multiplayer game.

Blackout is not a last-minute addition to Black Ops 4 just because battle royale is trending. Blackout is very well though out and the most enjoyable mode present in Black Ops 4. It is the most fun I have had in a multiplayer game.

Call of Duty games have always been fast paced, Blackout features that in every close quarters battle. It is definitely faster than other battle royale games and feels more flowing and progressing game.

REVIEW : Call of Duty Black Ops 4 (PC)

Blackout is much more accessible than PUBG and minimalistic concepts without having to build structures like run and gun work very well.

There are maps from previous Treyarch games, some areas where you have to fight zombies to get to a loot box, everything is present in Blackout mode. Best part about Blackout is the variety in its map, towns and industrials facilities are laid out pretty well with significant opportunity to get a good loot at most places.

Grapple Gun is a brilliant way to traverse the map and really helps keep the flow of game going in such a large map in Blackout. Plus, there are vehicles to get you from one end to another, all this adds to a faster battle royale game which is more engaging and filled with exciting encounters. Memorable moments occur in Blackout thick and fast which makes it much more enjoyable.

REVIEW : Call of Duty Black Ops 4 (PC)

Same fast and frantic PvP player is still present but Treyarch have successfully implemented few changes which makes the gameplay much tighter and engaging than before. This year you have 150 health rather than 100, though a small change still makes it take longer to kill an enemy or even you, hence increasing the time between spawns and increasing more time on the field where the player has most fun. Further, healing in now manual in Black Ops 4, it adds to the things a player needs to think about during a frantic match.

Wall running has been removed for more boots on ground approach but the gameplay is still frantic as ever. Black Ops still features Specialists, characters with 2 unique abilities but you can easily swap between any as none of the is over powered. It is not as tactical as Rainbow Six Siege but still adds depth. Create a class has also been expanded with weapon specific attachments.

Black Ops 4 ships with 14 maps with few fan favorites from past are present but all the maps are fair and well balanced.

REVIEW : Call of Duty Black Ops 4 (PC)

Zombies mode features 3 new maps to explore, more than any previous entry. IX features zombified gladiators and tigers which you have to fight in roman coliseum. Voyage of Despair which is based on a ship which crashed with an ice berg and sank. Blood of the Dead is remake of Black Ops 2 map and features the classic crew.

The Easter eggs and secrets hidden throughout the maps make them more interesting to explore than killing massive number of zombies. Finding about hidden weapons and uncovering secrets is really what makes Zombie mode special.

Custom Mutations allow the players to create their own challenges for any maps to see how long they can survive. There is large amount of combinations which you can try and create challenges with.

PC version is very well optimized and features whole host of settings. Our GTX 970 was easily able to handle the game maxed out 1080p with 70+ FPS all the time.

review-call-of-duty-black-ops-4-pcCall of Duty Black Ops 4 is the most evolved Call of Duty ever. Treyarch have refined the old and existing features and brought on new additions to keep the series fresh. Though lack of single player is still a big loss but Blackout as an addition is very welcome. Hardcore Gamers Unified recommends Call of Duty Black Ops 4 for its battle royale mode and refined PvP.
