An evil witch has seized the Crystal of Power. It’s up to 1 strong hero to save the world by hiring four soldiers to do the task for him. Play as the parts of Mercenary Inc as you traverse randomly created vaults, battle fierce beasts, befriend a lively cast of characters, and gather loot in this 2.5D vault crawler/turn-based RPG.

Game Play

This game seems pretty easy, fluid, and most of all, fun. The graphics remind are pretty minimum and clean. The combat system is fun, and everything in this game is superfluid.

You can walk around cells using a Mouse, a Keyboard, or a Controller. Pick any control system you prefer. Crashing into foes while inside a prison will begin battles. You can also secure the treasure you gain by interacting on it. Examine the areas throughout Smalltown. New fields unlock as you travel further into Evil Cave. Be certain to check the map from time to time for any added areas!

The Town is where you can relax and take a break from travelling. You can trade things on the Store or rest at an inn. Alchemy will let you join certain items to form a new one, while Reforge will generate a random item from an existing one.

This game is a remake of a flash play that was announced on Newgrounds in 2011. This 2020 version built from the ground level with all-new gameplay and features:

  • Added all new explorable areas.
  • Rebuilt 3D levels and redrawn sprites.
  • Combined partial voice acting and beast sound effects.
  • Rewrote conversation and added new views.
  • Tweaked the levelling system and equipment to be more dynamic.
  • Improved graphics and audio.
  • Implemented full gamepad/controller support.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS

You will need at least 1 GB of free disk area to play Crystal Story: The Hero and the Evil Witch. The most affordable graphics card you can play it on is an NVIDIA GeForce 7100 / nForce 630i. Crystal Story: The Hero and the Evil Witch system specifications state that you will require at least 8 GB of RAM.
