REVIEW : Him & Her Collection (PC)

In the difficult puzzle platformer Him & Her Collection, the player must navigate between stages while defying gravity in order to reach their significant other.

From a side-scrolling vantage point, you can manoeuvre your character and leap at any time. When you don’t want to jump, just walk toward the platforms; this will cause the entire level to revolve in the way you are pushing the ledges. There are a wide variety of puzzle games. Others are composed, deliberate, and bizarre, while some are horrifying and terrible. Whatever topic I encounter, as long as the riddles are difficult, is fine with me. So I was a little hesitant when I received Him and Her Collection. It seemed too innocent and basic, but appearances may be deceiving.

REVIEW : Him & Her Collection (PC)

This logic-based puzzle game was created by Williams and released by QUByte Interactive in collaboration with Game Nacional. This will put your intellect to the test because it has three chapters that are mentally taxing. It appears simple and straightforward at first. However, it quickly gets harder due to drip-fed physics and more complicated stages. As a result, both newcomers and seasoned players can enjoy this.

The jump button had a horrible delay that frequently led us to miss jumps within the first ten minutes of the game, and the main menu occasionally crashed, forcing me to restart the game in order to resume play. For the 15-20 levels of each game I played, I couldn’t tell the difference between playing on easy or hard, and the collection’s charming art style frequently works against it by making it difficult to tell whether or not it’s a trap which will kill you or something that will release you into the air like such a launching pad.

REVIEW : Him & Her Collection (PC)

He and Her Collection were unique. The game’s sickly love tale plays a key role. You must bring the estranged couple back together even though there isn’t a narrative per per. The two often find themselves at odds with one another for inexplicable causes. You must then conquer challenges in this unsettling and bizarre adventure.  You must pay attention to your surroundings and modify the puzzle as necessary during each step. You might need to turn the platform you’re standing on in order to bend the globe. Every layer will move as a result of this. As a result, you will create new pathways, relocate swinging boxes, and get around any challenges. Levers may need to be flipped in order to create new platforms. These enlarge each issue and make preparation a little more difficult. They did, however, also bring more depth, and I loved the new challenge.

The music, which had a gentle, mellow unaccompanied acoustic guitar tune that was thematically fitting, quickly become grating as it looped.  There is a menu option to turn off the sound, however doing so turns off all sound, even the scant sound effects. On a more positive side, the concept is pretty original for a puzzle platformer, however the transitions while turning a curve are so whiplash-inducingly quick that they frequently cause our eyes to bug out and utterly disorient me.

REVIEW : Him & Her Collection (PC)

The protagonist from either the male or female story is the subject of each chapter. There are some particular gameplay elements for each, despite minor modifications. These small changes in the plot keep the action interesting and avoid monotony. The action may have easily slowed down, but thankfully, this never happened.

When you have to make a leap of faith onto a rotating platform off-screen and your jump button doesn’t react as swiftly as it should, you risk whipping around the corner and dying by falling to your death. You must wait three seconds after each death for the level intro to play once more. As a result, I gave up on the game after completing a few dozen levels on each. From a side-scrolling vantage point, you can manoeuvre your character and leap at any time. When you don’t want to jump, just walk toward the platforms; this will cause the entire level to revolve in the way you are pushing the ledge.

As the player works out the best path to lead Him or Her alive to his partner, every minute will be an entertaining experience thanks to the game’s gloomy subject and family-friendly tone, from the grey environment to its captivating soundtrack.

REVIEW : Him & Her Collection (PC)

The game just becomes unbearably frustrating to play when you have to wait for 3 seconds repeatedly between deaths where you feel the responsiveness or mechanics of the game let you down. The controls have to be the main complaint of Him and Her Collection. As you attempt to leap across gaps, you will unintentionally turn a corner. The world is then turned on its head, and errors happen. Without disrupting the action’s flow, this would have solved the issue. Currently, it doesn’t damage the game; rather, irritating. The puzzle game Him and Her Collection is excellent despite its sporadic flaws. It will put you through some challenging stages and challenging components.
